Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Better question is do he and bonerhannon come back next year?
Great question and not facetious. I would not be surprised if JoBo returns making him probably one of the rare exceptions in MBB history to actually play games 6-consecutive years!
On Garza, he was ranked slightly higher than DOOK - KU in the pre-draft ranks. He could, at a minimum, get a free agent invite and make a roster, if he misses the draft.

Maybe he will come back next year along with Bohannon. Bohannon could go 5-1 against the Clones.
Garza won't. The only reason, IMO, he didn't stay in the draft is because he wasn't going to get drafted. Bohannon will probably come back because as some other posters have pointed out, this very much seems like his peak life and he lives for trying to beat ISU. Just one hacks opinion

Not close to one.
He wasn't getting drafted this year and I don't see him doing anything to change that for next year.
He needs to work on defensive footwork. He's obviously a great college player but would get eaten alive by Joker, Embiid, KAT, Porzingis, AD, Gobert.
Even Dwight Howard showed me a lot during the bubble. If he had to switch onto an athletic PF like Luka, Giannis, Sabonis, Millsap, Siakam, they would work Garza over.
Draymond would frustrate the **** out of him.
This. All of this. This is exactly what I thought too. His defense is below average to bad and he isn't as versatile as other bigs (no consistent threat of three point shot). I've seen Hawk fans claim "if Niang can be draft then Garza definitely will" which to me just shows their lack of NBA knowledge. Which I suppose should be expected since Hawk players never get drafted ;) But aside from that, it's quite comical because Niang has 2-3x the versatility that Garza has. Niang is a FAR better ball handler, three point shooter, and better overall footwork

Fair number of B1G teams considered overrated...trolls in 3...2...1...

Is it a troll to say that I've never heard of that website or that author before? I'm not offended when some guy I've never heard of on a website I've never heard of says that a basketball team I like should be ranked in the top 15 rather than top 5.

The Big 10 is the best basketball conference.

Just like the Big 10 is the best in football. Got it!

According to KenPom the Big 12 has been the best conference in 8 of the last 9 seasons.

Did you see the recruit we signed today?
Hunter? Yeah he’s good. The Big 10 has 3 teams in the top 10 and 4 in the top 15. There is also 3 in the top 25. That’s 7 ranked teams (half the conference) and you still have Michigan and Minnesota who will be tournament teams (Minny is probably on the bubble). That’s a crazy tough schedule Iowa is going to have.

Preseason polls? Weren't Minnesota and Iowa both ranked in the preseason football poll and now they're both trash?

Both conferences are going to be good this year. Half the Big 12 is in the top 25. Oklahoma will make the tournament and either OSU or ISU will as well. There will be 6-7 Big 12 teams in the tournament this year.

And I'm sorry, there's no logical reason outside of Iowa having Garza that they're rated above Wisconsin or Illinois. Both bring everyone important back, Wisconsin won a share of the Big 10 title, and Illinois finished two games above Iowa last year. I understand it from the hype Luka's getting (deserved), but logically it doesn't make much sense.
