Yep, still not sold on him at all. Defense and ST's made that game a blowout and the ineptness of Lombardi.
He could improve and if he doesn't I'm hoping he isn't their for three more years.
If he doesn't improve he will get benched. KF is stubborn like a lot of coaches, but Iowa needs Petras to be better than he has and he will get benched if he doesn't improve.
Kirk doesn't bench QBs. Maybe after this yeah he'll "open it up" but that's even a stretch
He doesn't. I can't remember a QB he did it to. I know you're probably thinking Rudock but he didn't even bench him
Rudock started every game in his career but one when he was hurt so please tell me who Kirk has ever benched
He benched Jake Christenson whom scarily Petras reminds me a lot of at this point.
Forgot about that one. One QB benched in over 20 years. Christensen was a good recruit IIRC
Christenson might be the highest rated QB recruit KF ever got too. I would count Ruduck as getting benched too, but I'm fine with you not counting it.
Christensen was a lot more talented than Petras but I definitely see the comparison
