Being that it's the first game of the year for both teams in a historically weird CFB season, I wouldn't have any expectations as to how the game is going to go. Who knows what either team is going to look like and is going to play like in front of zero fans.
Probably and I definitely thought so too, but some of the media are giving their offense a ton of credit pre-season. I actually just saw an ESPN writer predict a Texas vs. Purdue Cactus Bowl matchup (Previously Cheezit Bowl).
Agreed. And if you look at their schedule, it sets them up perfectly to have a shot of going .500. Their two crossover games are Rutgers and Indiana.
Jack Plummer played last year and actually sat out the final few games of the year due partially to injury and also his performance. Their backup actually did better than Plummer, but after reading an article quickly from a couple of weeks ago, they have a QB battle between those two from last year and a transfer from UCLA.
