you can frame it this way too......the BIG 10 has 5 teams ACTUALLY in the top 25 and the BIG 12 has 3.

I wasn't using their ranking as a basis as saying they were better than 63% of Iowa's schedule.

I don't understand your SOS argument. You wear it like a kid wears a participation ribbon. "ya, we were bad but at least we got beat by good teams?" You realize that in a lot of those seasons Iowa boosted your strength of schedule but the Clones hurt Iowa's right?

Penn State? 6 times.
Michigan? 5 times.

Combined 3-8 record.

If you want to go by ranking, then they're not as good as Iowa State. I wasn't going by ranking. They'd be better than Minnesota too, which I don't think they are. I was simply saying Nebraska, MSU, Illinois, NW, and Purdue are trash.

Sagarins actual rankings do support my argument. Sagarin ranks ISU with a better SOS but actual rankings show Iowa higher 8 of the last 10 years.

Because for me I wasn't arguing about Iowa. I didn't even want to bring them up. Lol I think they'll go 6-2 or 5-3, which is solid giving the circumstances. I was talking about the teams Iowa plays this year.

I know, I wasn’t going by ranking either. Louisiana is better than everyone in the Big XII outside of Oklahoma State. Not sure how it helps your point that Louisiana is better than 5/8 of Iowa’s conference opponents but 8/9 of Iowa State’s.

Precisely. I don't think those 5 teams I listed are going to be very good at all. Given that ULL is good, that was my basis of the argument.
