Look I don't know where to look for it but I remember reading a tweet that was posted on CF during the week prior to the game revising the poll w/o the quitters and we were side by side with Louisiana. If somebody could find this so the trolls can STFU it would be appreciated.

The person he was responding to was talking about how the season lines up for Iowa State to make the Big 12 title because of our poor schedule. Doesn't even mention Iowa not having to play Michigan or Ohio State AND gets Wisconsin at home this year.

We faced a top 25 team in our only non conference game and have a round robin conference schedule. How is that a poor schedule lol

You're now talking about different things. The reason why the majority of schools count ranked victories as victories against teams that were ranked when you play them, is because the AP poll is forever in flux and you don't take away a ranked victory due to your team winning the game.

Imagine beating a team that's 2-3 and then rattles off 6 straight wins to be ranked at the end of the year. You don't then get to claim that in week 6 your team had a ranked victory. Sure that win DOES look good at the end of the year, but it's still not a ranked victory.
