I actually think it is based on scheme. KF has already said the zone blocking scheme is extremely hard to operate with today's rules and that he is looking into switching to more of a man to man scheme. I think he is right and hope he does. Will be interesting to see what they do against Purdue.

I hope not. KF touched on it during bowl prep last year and wanted to implement man to man this offseason, but then covid hit so not sure if they did or not.
The last few games of the season they really went away from it. KF has said he’s going to start moving away from it.
KF said that was his mistake and that Banwart is very much in the thick of it for starting and playing time. Whoops!

Brian Ferentz said if they were playing today, starting OL would be Jackson and Cronk at tackle, Linderbaum at center, and Cole, Shooter, Kallenberger, Ince, and Britt among the candidates at guard.
I've heard from a lot that would know that Britt is the second best center in the state. Not surprising.
Newell is good. Seems to be on track for a career similar to Austin Blythe. Linderbaum is a monster and could be the best center in college football.
