Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Didn't the Big 10 only have like 4 or 5 teams make the big dance a few years back? Lol
Take it easy on them today. Iowa fans just realized they won't even have a top 150 recruit in the class of 2021 and we already have a top 50 recruit committed

I get that was how it was in the past, but the Big 12 has been regressing badly the past few years. The ACC is still strong but even they have had some problems. The Big 10 has been getting much stronger and tougher over the last 3-4 years and some teams have began to emerge as true contenders such as Rutgers, tOSU, and Illinois. The Big 10 also has two real Natty contenders in Iowa and Illinois while the Big 12 has 0.
The Big Ten has 1 title contender, that's Illinois. If Izzo finds a pg to replace Winston( unlikely) then they might have a shot at it. Gotta play D to make the 3rd weekend.

You don't know much about basketball with that response bud lol. They're a No Doubt contender
Underwood has a losing record at Illinois and has never made it to the second weekend. They were going to be a 9 seed last year bud lol

I'd agree most of the last decade yes. Much like kansas is the only one in the Big 12, but illinois is for real this year. They'll prove it.
9 seed to Sweet 16 would be proving it IMO. They're not a national title contender

Well he inherited a average to bad roster. He has improved every year. NT contender doubtful, could win the B10 though.

They could be a Sweet 16 team although losing Griffin was a big blow. They have a could really good guards coming in though

I don't think Iowa is a national title contender. I think they will go something like 22-10 and be a #5 seed.
