I typically like simple. Not a huge fan of the font or the larger chicken (feels exaggerated) as has been mentioned in almost every other post.

Actually prefer the old one to the new one.

They are trying to be more similar to Kum n Go and Kwik Star's marketing and design. Those 2 are already red and white.

At least Wendy's kept elements from an easily identifiable and, I assume, well-liked brand logo. That's what's missing here. Casey's abandoned nearly every element from their very well-established visual identity. This makes them look like a completely new chain.
It's weird how they decided to ditch the color yellow and the branding of "General store". Is Casey's no longer a general store?

If it ain't broke.. Don't fix it. New CEO probably wanted to change it so it's "his" look now.

I'm not in marketing. But this looks like a colossal failure...

Agree. It's natural for brands to evolve their look and identity over time, and it's necessary to avoid appearing stale. But this goes way beyond evolving. They must've been banking on the weather vane being enough of a connection with Casey's history but I don't think it worked. And their choice of font/color is really common and indistinguishable from a lot of others out there.

Big waste of money. How many millions did they pay for the design.... and how many more millions will it cost for all the signs and installing them?

And now I won't be able to recognize from a ways away if it's a Casey's where I can get some gas..... or if it's just a chicken place.

I'm guessing they want to move further in the direction of hot food/pizza/restaurant-type food options and that's not a "thing" when one thinks of "general store." Could be wrong.
