Brock Purdy is the most clutch player in the state of Iowa's history

2019 KSU:
8-5 (5-4)
1 Win vs. top 10 ranked teams
Double-digit beatdown WIN vs. Iowa State

2019 ISU:
7-5 (5-4)
zero wins vs. top 10 ranked teams
Double-digit beatdown LOSS vs. Kansas State.

Which team sucks?

ISU went 7-6 last season.

They were pretty good at that time last year IIRC, then we hung 40 on them and LSU hung 60 on them which dropped them. They weren't bad defensively last year that's for sure

So how would you describe Iowa's defense last year?

Anybody think that with Purdy's year-over-year regression and CMC's quick trigger on QBs, Mitchell is regretting his decision to transfer?
Way too early to call it a regression. You saw the same growing pains like the UL game in non-con games the last couple years, Iowa, ND, Drake, WSU, etc. Conference play has started and I'd be very surprised if his stats didn't start skyrocketing with the competition level. If anything, Mitchell might be kicking himself since next year appears to be wide open. Probably would have had a slight edge over that converted guard.

2018 - 169.91 Rating; 10.2 yards per attempt; 66.4%
2019 - 151.07 Rating; 8.4 yards per attempt; 65.7%
2020 - 112.42 Rating; 6.1 yards per attempt; 58.6%

Plus his decision making hasn't gotten better this year.

He's lucky that was called a fumble and not an interception or his rating would be even lower.

Let's see where it ends up. I'm not sure he can match his freshman year though. That is historic
