Kirk Ferentz has never represented the Big Ten as a Big Ten champion though. 2002 it was Ohio State, 2004 it was Michigan and 2015 it was Michigan State. Those were the three times he got closeThis is a bad troll, even for you.

Not true. Big Ten had Ohio State and Michigan represent the Big Ten as champions those years. I mean Ohio State win the National Title in 2002 and Michigan beat up Iowa in 2004 lolYeah, Ferentz has 2, idk what he's getting at.
Edit, I guess they are co-championships, which is dumb.

Did they play Ohio State in 2002? Didn't they lose to Michigan in 04? Wasn't there a 3 or 4 way tie in 86 and 90? Has Iowa ever had an outright title in the Big 10?
According to Wikipedia, they have 4 outright titles: 1921, 1556, 1958, and 1985.Did they play Ohio State in 2002? Didn't they lose to Michigan in 04? Wasn't there a 3 or 4 way tie in 86 and 90? Has Iowa ever had an outright title in the Big 10?
That 1556 team was tough. Yeah Iowa's not going to win the Big Ten under KFAccording to Wikipedia, they have 4 outright titles: 1921, 1556, 1958, and 1985.

Ohio State won it in 2002 and Michigan won it in 2004. I mean those are the factsI am sure the conference makes a habit of handing out conference championship trophies to teams that did not win a title.
In the days before conference championship games, yes. If you go to Michigan or Ohio State, you will see the same Big 10 champion trophy that Iowa has.I am sure the conference makes a habit of handing out conference championship trophies to teams that did not win a title.

Michigan beat Iowa in 2004 and Michigan was the BCS representative as conference champion in 2004. I assume/hope you're trying to troll here but it's not workingI cannot believe I am going back and forth on this but here you go:
Page 11 has Iowa's last title as 2004.
Also, page 107.
As far as I'm concerned, if at the end of the season, the conference hands you a trophy that says "Conference Champions" I'm going to consider that a championship. What Cyclone fans consider a championship will have to be decided at a later date (maybe) for obvious reasons.I cannot believe I am going back and forth on this but here you go:

Well Iowa’s odds to win the Big Ten went up today. That 1556 team was tough. Yeah Iowa's not going to win the Big Ten under KF
Iowa football can't win conference tournaments. Those are the only championships that matter around these parts. As far as I'm concerned, if at the end of the season, the conference hands you a trophy that says "Conference Champions" I'm going to consider that a championship.
