Buccee's in TX is a BIG notch above anything in IA. The new KS in Story City is the best I've been to in IA (a Casey's fan up to seeing the KS).

My wife will go miles out of her way to go to a QT because she claims their pop is better. I just don't get it.

Probably give me a Caseys over anything.

It may be blind love but going anywhere other than a Casey’s, especially those old small town ones, feels like I’m cheating.

We just got a few Sheetz in the C-Bus area and they are like a little bit more refined Casey’s. That was my “other” vote.

Big stepup from what we have currently (Speedway, UDF)

I heard a story that Casey's (Iowa based) and Kwik Trip/Star (Wisconsin based) had a gentlemen's agreement to stay out of each other's state. Casey's broke that agreement years ago, so Kwik Trip decided to retailiate. That's why you're seeing so many of them being built in Iowa now.

As for the poll, I voted Casey's....but mainly because the one I use regularly has a fantastic group of long-time employees. They do a great job.

Fake news

If we had them in Iowa Sheetz by a country mile, however since we don't my loyalty lies with Casey's

How do you not end up at Mill's fleet farm if gas pricing is your driving factor? Also free popcorn for the drive home.
They always seem to be the same when I price compare. Also post pandemic I haven’t gone anywhere but Casey’s because I have to use my fuel saver every time and 1st street is closed anyway. Also Fleet Farms convenience store looks awful. I’m not super duper price conscious but when it is consistently 20-30 cents cheaper I will. I think Ankeny Casey’s is $0.45 cheaper than gas by my house on the west side. So really I could drive some 60 miles out of my way and save.

For me in the Des Moines area gas prices themselves are a big factor. I always have to drive up to Ankeny to QT or Casey’s.

If you get rid of the gas aspect I would say QT or HyVee. Casey’s would be right there for availability. I don’t get people’s love of Kwik Star. Maybe I’m to elitist but the appeal seems to be they have some groceries. I’m not getting my groceries from a gas station.
If you drive to Ankeny for gas, WTF wouldn't you go to Sam's or Fleet Farm?

As I just said in the above post Fleet Farm always seems to have the same price when I price compare. Sams Club I don’t have a membership (also I have problems with Wal Mart as a whole).

KS is my new favorite. Kids really like their slushies and their donuts are really good and cheap. I'm a fan of the chicken strips, but I haven't tried anything else yet.
