Iowa Football Recruiting

There's a thread on Iowa's 247 page that asserts Iowa has a top 2 WR room in the Big Ten....and people are in agreement with it. Iowa was 7th in the conference last year in passing yards per game. And that was with a senior QB tossing them ball. They had two receivers in the top 20 in the conference last season. I'm guessing it's because they're not used to using WR's as ball catchers.
Posted before Oliver Martin left to become a superstar at Nebby right?

I agree to a point. I should tell my kids to read some of your postings. Then explain to them that this is what they will become if they don’t focus on school and put too much of their life into a college sports team. It should scare them silly and keep them from ending up in my basement.
Let's remember that you're the one whining about the AP poll being unfair. I don't really care if they put Big 10 teams in right now or not.

I never said it was unfair. If you read my post, I said it was understandable that the AP would place us 8th in the conference after last weeks loss. You need to take comprehension classes because I literally said it was understandable.

You do care a lot because you are the one who went to a rivals message board and brought it up. If you didn’t care, you would not have initiated the dialogue.

Iowa has a decent WR room, but they have an inflated view of what it really is since it’s been a struggle there for years.

In Ames isu’s WR were locked down by Sun Belt CB’s. But to be fair as bad as the defense are in the Big 12 Louisiana probably will end up being one of if not the best defense the clones face all year.

I apologize. You were not the one that said it was unfair. One of the other posters did. My mistake.

You're making ridiculous assumptions. The offense had a really bad day, starting with Purdy. If you think that display was an accurate representation of what our offense really is, then that's on you.

I am not making assumptions at all. Outside of one play the Louisiana CB’s locked down the isu WR’s. Maybe when isu plays a weaker set of CB’s their WR’s can get some separation.

The WR's bad day was multiplied because Purdy was completely off. His timing and placement was bad all day. If a QB is missing windows, the WR's can't do anything. You understand that, right?

TBF ISU's offense has looked pretty inept for the last three games going back to last year.

I mean I get that but TBF taking the end of last season and just rolling it to 2020 isn't exactly painting a fair picture either. It's not exactly an apples to apples analysis.

So isu’s WR’s couldn’t separate because of the plays called?

Iowa States offense consists of a lot of timing routes. I personally don't care for it but I can't change the offense. When your QB is consistently throwing behind the receivers coverage becomes a lot easier.... We had guys open, Brock was either not seeing them or his throws were just bad.

Yes, one game is representative of what a team is and no other game can change that one selective game.

Noted.
