Iowa Football Recruiting

First, if you think our coaches "stink",(Now Manning sucks?) it is impossible to debate you. You are blinded by your fandom (Look who you put in this list). I think most people admit that both staffs are at least good.

Second, let's make a list of the Top 10 skill players between the teams (I would put Jirehl Brock 6 from what I've seen in practice, but that is cheating):

1. Brock Purdy
2. Breece Hall
3. Charlie Kolar
4. Tyler Goodson (that's being kind)
5. Tarique Milton
6. Sean Shaw
7. Chase Allen
8. Ihmir Smith-Marsette
9. Dylan Soenher
10. Joe "Tha Baby" Scates

A lot of ISU guys on there (8 to 2). I think Scates could be the best receiver if he wants to be...

I could have added 5 more ISU players, but those guys I've only seen in practice. ISU is loaded.
O/U 100 times this post gets bumped this year. I'm a guaranteed 20. Just sooooo many goods in here!

When was the last time Iowa had a 1200 yard rusher in a full season? Now some tiny slow kid is going to do it in 8 games? Lol I thought you were joking
Let's wait to see who they play first. There are some real clunkers in the Big Ten.

Iowa State played the 5th toughest schedule in the country last year. Iowa played the 30th

Is this Sagarin? Sagarin says isu would have won 7 games playing Iowa’s schedule last year while Iowa would have won 10 games playing isu’s. So does it really matter if isu played the 5th toughest schedule if they wouldn’t have won any more games than playing the 30th?

You can church it up all you want but Iowa St finished tied for 3rd in the Big 12 last year and went...7-6, while the others went a stunning 8-5. Iowa was the 3rd place team in the Big Ten West and the 6th team in bowl selection, and Iowa went 10-3. That doesn't speak well for the Big 12, and that's where all of that supposed strength comes from, aside from Iowa of course. Iowa St simply played a lot of teams sitting on the edge of the top 50 according to the metric.

Most of that "status" came from the conference being really mediocre in the middle last year so that on paper, you didn't have a Rutgers that sank your SOS, when in reality, Kansas was almost as bad and ISU still nearly choked that game away while Iowa cruised. Especially with this past weekend having 3 losses against the vaunted Sun Belt, and one whole win last year in bowl matchups for the league, you're not fooling anyone.
