Not all guys welcome stiff competition, so who knows. Also, with 2 P5 offers in the last few days kid might be wise to hold out a little longer and see who else might throw one out there. And lets not kid ourselves, KSU is one of the premier programs in the B12 and finished 3rd last year I believe. Not bad.

Not sure what a guy 15 years ago has to do with this, but yeah, he was definitely a bust. Probably more so because he turned out to be a scumbag vs an actual talent issue, but I digress. I too was surprised a highly rated player could become a bust, but I've seen one or two more occurrences since then across CFB.

Regarding the "rankings", I'm more of an offers guy myself. Which I thought was the SOP around here as well, but might have changed. Hard to keep up. Even though this new guy just picked up a good offer from one of the more respected B12 programs, I'll still be cautiously optimistic on talent if we land him. Certainly has the right starting pieces with size and athleticism though. Also guessing it might be a while before he sees the field with what *would be* is in front of him.

It just seems like an easy choice, the team basically everyone knows is TEU vs a team that only had 161 yards receiving by TEs last year. I thought maybe the guys who really follow Iowa recruiting would know if there was more to the story. Did his dad or grandpa go to KSU?

Has there been a week since June isu hasn’t slipped in the 247 Rankings? Better hope and pray IU, Wash. State, Ole Miss or SMU don’t get anymore recruits or it will keep pushing isu’s class down some more. Dropping like a rock.

Yeah Iowa stopped recruiting him long before ISU did when they filled up at DE. @CyTwins sources told him that Iowa wanted Hanson in the worst way, but he was just making that up per usual, as they were done recruiting him.
