Why has CMC stayed in Ames?

I'm not a fan of their BBQ; their burgers are good and the food is cheap. For BBQ, give me Cornbread, Whatcha Smokin, Smokey D's, and Kue'd over Hickory Park.

Edit: Also, Unrvld in West Des Moines is really good. Owned by former Cyclones Brent Curvey and DeAndre Jackson

I think that is a good thing for ISU. CMC should be a very consistent 6/7 wins a year coach for a long time in Ames.

I’m okay with 7-6 wins a season after getting depressed with Paul Rhoads 2-10 wins every year. I will take CMC any day of my life. Eventually we will be winning 9-10 games a season.

Hawkeye fans have to be the worse fan base in the country. Nothing like being quiet for months about the disgrace of a college that Iowa is and then come on here when Iowa St loses one game.

You should be ok with 6-7 wins a season, that is amazing at ISU. LOL thinking you will be getting to 9-10 wins a year. Wouldn’t shock me if CMC makes that happen once, but The odds that becomes a regular thing are slim to none.

Do Cyclone fans really believe he is waiting for OSU, Michigan or Notre Dame to offer? From my perspective, as a Hawkeye fan, he likes the community and wants to raise his family in Ames. He seems every bit as committed to ISU as Hayden and Kirk are to Iowa.

Why would he want to be anywhere else?

To be fair, I don’t think he’s had all the BBQ in the world to classify Hickory Park as the best.

You didn’t enjoy that! Lol. I don’t wish the Hawks had played and lost to a Sun Belt conference team.

Maybe he is looking for a job where you could win 7ish games a year for like 20 years and never get fired. Like then maybe hypothetically you could even have multiple investigations into his program for racism as even then he could still keep his job as long as he wins 7ish games.
