With Ryan gone, the Chops were easily beaten by the Quad City Flames on Tuesday. Besides a couple of decent fights and a penalty shot goal (WOOHOOO, first penalty shot I have seen live), there wasn't too much excitement to the game. The suites were packed, but the crowd was very sparse. Hopefully they rebound and can with 3 in a row (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at Wells Fargo Arena.

Yes, that trouncing against the Flames was a real bummer.

I would imagine the week long break and the departure of Ryan were a factor in them showing up so flat.

They are still deep with some really stop notch talent with Lindstrom and Ebbett and I would expect a big time rebound this weekend against a marginal Milwaukee team.

The attendance needs some improvement, but they gotta have a good product on the ice before people start showing up. More people are aware of the fact that Des Moines has pro AHL hockey this year than I have ever seen before.
