TCU QB Max Duggan may miss part of season

I’ve seen a few of these stories that with the amped up medical evaluations, doctors are catching other conditions. Crazy that it was never detected before.

Hope he can come back, after the ISU game.

So he probably has Covid. I know the article says he doesn't, but there are a lot of reasons for TCU to keep hush about that.

He probably has a condition he was born with that makes Covid much harder to recover from.

Whatever it is... I hope he gets better soon.

But let's not pretend that these athletic departments are not going to want to keep any Covid cases hush hush.

That's ridiculous. If he had Covid, they wouldn't hide...just as OU didn't hide it. Whatever he has its a lifetime issue...it may be true that Covid would complicate whatever he has, but there's absolutely no reason whatsoever to think anyone would try to hide it.

Or it means that all those extra heart scans or other tests found something. This may be something good to come from the virus freak out. These tests should probably be kept for all incoming athletes.

JFC...

Wow, that's unfortunate for Max. Hope he recovers ASAP. Our chances of winning our season opener on the road just went up.

We need to keep Brock in an astronaut suit when he's not practicing or playing.

Per my source, he had COVID. Heart issues were found during the checkup per the new heart related COVID protocols. He will NOT be playing this season.

Are you saying he had a heart condition due to Covid? Or that he had Covid which prompted a heart checkup which revealed unrelated heart issues?

Thanks.

Kind of, kind of reminds me of Baylor's bball player who discovered a heart condition at the NBA combine IIRC.

Isaiah Austin, diagnosed with Marfan, which, in hindsight, seems like something a doctor should have seen from across an arena.

Dang, I just hate it when I’m right. Especially after a bunch of people call me out on it.
