Guys aren't going to be able to wear visors this year if they're going to be required to wear one of these things. Your breath would fog that all up almost immediately with a visor.
I like these, all-white. Modified the jersey with a new shoulder bolt/stripe and shoulder numbers on top to match cardinal jersey. Combination of current gold/yellow (mostly) and some of our old retro '70's gold for numbers/trim.

There is a coating on the plastic that prevents that. Plus a defogger built in.
Could we see that new design with removal of the collar colors? I think that gets in the way of the full eefect.
Not sure I follow your request? What do mean by removal of collar collars exactly? (Add: Just make it white???)
Current w/b/w, pretty basic. 
Mod4 Black jersey to match the cardinal and white jerseys. Black jersey has more prominent red stripe in sleeve but the red is still understated. You still have the mono black/white look, but some cardinal is introduced which is necessary IMO. The amount of cardinal (mostly) and gold can be varied (helmet stickers, tape, accessories). They should stay away from using too much gold with black.

An alternate stripe could be used on a second white pant, adding a tiny bit more of muted red, still maintaining the "black" mode. Surprisingly this pant stripe which does have some red in it, looks good w/ some cardinal and gold applications for a change of pace (i.e., c/c/w, w/c/w).
Note: I had to let this alternate stripe linger a few days before I got used to it. Then I began to really like it. I think I like it better now than the blank white pant/helmet, at least with w/b/w. It definitely has more interest than a no-stripe. YMMV.

Heck, with the Hawkeyes not playing football this fall, we should purposely play in black & gold for some game just to piss them off...
And, maybe add an "ANF" sticker - "America Needs Football"...

The cardinal pant doesn't necessarily need a gold/white stripe like I've been depicting lately. I think it needs some kind of stripe though. Coming around full circle here is a modified conservative dark red stripe. 
I'm 50/50 on this or the gold stripe 
but I think the dark red stripe might be more practical, less big change for the coaching staff, overall look. I like it.

White collar you asked to see.
I don't care for it vs. the other.However it did make me fool around a bit with collar and stripes in jersey. Retro gold does not look good in the collar. I made a 2-color red collar which though it looks good is too red w/ most combos.
The only way that might work is if they did more gold stripes or gold elsewhere.Making the white collar showed me it might be nice to have a bit more red in the sleeve though. So I expanded the bolt stripe in white jersey to do this and to better match the cardinal jersey. Added 2-tone red in triangle of collar.
Last year we had 3 "Black" uni Home games, 2 all-black, and 1 w/b/w. Is that right? That's definitely one too many. I liked the w/b/w (hoping for some cardinal accent next time). So take out one all-black for sure. That still only leaves 4 Home games for something other that black (excluding maybe the b/c/c).
We did not have any Away games w/ black. Perhaps this imbalance could change with one black Away game? Campbell could then still get his "black" fix? And I think it would look good. Say any one of these four?

I really like the red/current gold collar on white jersey that we have now. I think it should stay if they don't do stripes or adopt the dark red stripe for cardinal pant.I also really like a 2nd collar option, 2-tone red, for white jersey. This might be considered strongly if they do the C/G pant/helmet stripes (white uni) and gold stripe cardinal pant. I looks great but will only work best if they adopt stripes.
Any chance someone can find the Iowa State version of these?
