Tristan Michaud - Plays in Canada.
Carston Marshall - HS runs a weird defense, some believe he could be role player early in his college career
Dodge Sauser - A Hok reporter said he's made the biggest improvement over two years that he has ever seen
Myles Mendeszoon - Incredibly raw and underrecruited. He will pick up some offers during his senior season
Aidan Ralph - Camped at ISU right before the pandemic. They extended an offer after seeing him in person. They got a guy that they wanted.
Joey Petersen - Zach's brother. Good bloodline to gamble on. He's gonna bust his A**
That's a list of the guys without another P5 offer. If the staff didn't think they could play, they wouldn't let them commit.
Sounds like any preseason interview about any team ever...Apparently Goodson's dad said in an interview that Tyler told him there's a pretty amazing vibe in the lockerroom, the team is fired up and feeling great.

Systemic racism never takes a vacation. Is Brian on vacation?
Yikes for Iowa
I don't think it's that big of miss. They never had a shot to begin with. Only the homers here thought he was going to IowaBig Yikes. What's that old saying about birds in hand? Don't give the enemy your bird to miss out on two other birds or something like that.
You are really good at math.It sucks that Iowa is missing out on these guys lately, but they already have a good class. If they had a class full of guys with zero or one other P5 offers like Iowa State does, I would be pretty concerned.
This is right up there for one of the dumbest things you've ever said lol. I'm sure a stud TE was afraid of all that on paper talent and didn't want to compete....LMAOWith all the elite young TE talent we have it's not surprising that '21 recruits are looking for programs where they can get to the field faster. Your guy is probably safe.
Exactly. This is right up there for one of the dumbest things you've ever said lol. I'm sure a stud TE was afraid of all that on paper talent and didn't want to compete....LMAO
On paper talent doesn't exactly make sense when their TE's combined for.. wait for it.. zero TD's last year. This is right up there for one of the dumbest things you've ever said lol. I'm sure a stud TE was afraid of all that on paper talent and didn't want to compete....LMAO

Nah, I've posted much dumber things.
Even though Iowa's known as Tight End U, it's understandable that stud TE recruits still would shy away in favor of a place where they can be the starter from day one. The depth of elite young talent combined with the fact that our TEs must be able to block at a high level makes it pretty clear that no matter how many stars you have, you're most likely not playing much, if at all, as a freshman. Just ask CJF. So I don't blame them at all for opting for a blue-blood where they can get onto the field earlier.
This is a great point Gonz, Iowa hasn’t stated a freshman at tight end since, oh yeah, the last game they played.
You are stating Noah Fant was a good blocker?Nah, I've posted much dumber things.

Which freshman started in the Holiday Bowl for us? Wieting was a senior.

La porta started two games didn’t he? Not sure if bowl game was one.Which freshman started in the Holiday Bowl for us? Wieting was a senior.
Go watch the first play. I think you will be able to spot one.
He started two games.LaPorta was #2 on the depth chart behind Wieting, all season. And his timing really couldn't have been better coming in after two of our TEs were drafted in the top 20. That's kind of the point with these 2021 guys, we're stacked with so much young talent it's the exact opposite for them. But I do agree that LaPorta is a beast.
Gonzo is riding this “so much young TE talent” train straight into the ground. He started two games.
