Tim Griffin made this note under the "Other things I've noticed" on the Big 12 blog at half time of the game on Sat. Makes me proud that I was out there freezing my *** off.

"I'm amazed at the support that Iowa State is receiving from fans at Jack Trice Stadium. The Cyclones are 2-8 and playing for little except pride tonight. It's freezing and the stadium is almost packed. Those fans love their football -- even if most of the time this season it hasn't been very good."

Seems to sum things up pretty well this season.

I overdressed, but I wasn't complaining at all. Of course sitting in front of the Mizzou cheerleaders kept me prety warm too.

Ticket prices will be the same.

The catch: The KSU game in KC (which was supposed to be a home game) will need to be purchased seperately.

So:

6 home games ($350) "Same price"

1 game in KC approx. $90.

Net effect is being able to say the price didn't go up, but still getting additional revenue from the KC game.

I imagine that is about how it will go as well. Plus I imagine no single game tickets to iowa again.

Is this a known fact or your opinion? Just curious. ISU fans need to realize their part in growing our football success. It takes $$ to run a football program. It will happen faster if we give more now rather than "wait for the finished product".

I'm OK with holding ticket prices the same.

Just an opinion but honestly why would it be any different? Ticket prices will probably stay the same, but they will get additional revenue from the KSU game.

This is why Pollard think ISU is a sleeping giant. Put a winning product on the field, and the fans will come out in huge numbers.

I'm impressed by the attendance. Alot better than the old days when it would be half full on a 70 degree day.

You do have a point... I remember some early season games growing up, and I swear there was only 25,000 or 30,000 at most.

Things have progressed, now we need a winning team... Can we steal the Panthers from you???

Big time. Not to mention, many people stayed out in the parking lots too! ISU has great fans. Get a better product on the field and we can talk of finishing the South endzone real soon!

I don't think we want the Panthers right now... They are rivaling Iowa for arrests.
