Would you succeed in 1900?

On a positive note color blindness wouldn't be much of a setback beings everything is black and white.

I’d like to think I would be a lot better at sports gambling than I am now, knowing all the outcomes, but I’d still probably find a way to **** things up

Considering there was only live music back then, I think my guitar skills would make money, as well as my carpentry, though it would take a while to learn their tools and tricks. I already work as much as they did back then.

Given my occupation today is in IT and the first computer to be invented was the Atanasoff–Berry computer in 1937 I would say I probably would have to rely on my work ethic from growing up on a small farm to survive.

Ironically I just watched the Behind the Story feature on the Back to the Future trilogy yesterday and my 6 year old actually watched a good chunk of it while I had it on the TV and had plenty of questions so I think she may be ready to watch the movie with me and actually like it.

I'd be dead in 4 days.

Yeah, the tetanus vaccines wasn't created until, what, the 1920s? I'd definitely get a scratch and die. Also, I can't even cook out of a box, let alone rendering my own lard or whatever the hell they did back then, so we'd all starve.

If Oregon Trail was any indication of how I would do in the past, I wouldn’t make it. Death by disease or a raging river. I would have a ton of meat though.

Imagine what you lived through if you were born in 1900—WWI, Great Depression, WWII, Cold War, landing on the moon, Civil Rights era, Korean War, Vietnam War, two presidents assassinated, one resigned, three others shot, and all the inventions ranging from the plane to the Model T and TV.

My grandparents were born in 1897-1900. Didn’t think of it that way until now.

Almost makes our modern problems seem quaint in comparison
