Iowa Football Recruiting

I'm an embarrassment for asking for accountability from a racist football program where almost 60 former players came forward and spoke about how they were treated there? Ummmm..... okay.

It sure is becoming a strange world folks. Whatever. Cheer on your disgusting program. Have fun!

You don't care about any of those 60 former players. You want the Iowa program and KF to be bad and look bad. That's why the second anyone talks about positive steps being taken you immediately dismiss it and pivot to 20 years of racism from KF. And it's why when anyone brings up the fact that Iowa's players, as well as many of those former players you're so outraged for, talk about how they believe in KF and support him to lead the program, you just kind of ignore it.

Lol I'm sure

James Daniels:

“KF set up this committee within the football team. It was just black players and Coach Ferentz...

We voiced a lot of these concerns - nobody back then told the racial stories. Nobody told that to Coach Ferentz. But we did say that we do, as black players, feel like we’re being mistreated in the program. And some of the stuff that - some of the cultures in place in the program, like not wearing hats in meetings, like in the building, not wearing earrings in meetings, things like the music in the weight room...we did voice these opinions to Coach Ferentz in 2017.

And then in the spring of 2019 when I was finishing my degree at Iowa, I met with Gary Barta one on one and I talked to Gary Barta about the diversity taskforce...

I was talking to Gary Barta and I was explaining to him like, things need to be done within the football program. And I mentioned that Coach Doyle was part of the problem, but I didn’t go into much detail and I felt like I should have went into more detail with Gary Barta back in 2019, and it wouldn’t have had to play out like this.

Nobody told any stories - I mean, I don’t remember anybody telling stories about what exactly Coach Doyle did.”

Losing a recruit to Maryland because of the racial issues would be a huge kick in the nuts. And I thought Parks to Utah and legacy Alt was bad

Maryland is putting together quite the recruiting class. It’s not like they’d be missing out on a recruit to a team with a terrible recruiting class like Iowa State or Wake Forest or something.

Yikes. 2017 said they were mistreated and then in 2019 said that about Doyle and nothing changed. Wow

Huge whiff on the troll attempt. The examples Daniels says were given evidencing mistreatment (no hats or earrings, music in the weight room) were changed after the players brought those issues forward. Daniels himself says he didn’t give any details to Barta. Good effort though.

I'm going to keep bringing this topic up and not allowing the Iowa fans and media to shove it under the rug like they want to.

If you don't like that, then maybe you shouldn't support such a program. I think it needs to keep being brought up. If BF and Wallace were shown the door, that MIGHT be enough to shut me up about it. Something needs to be done to BF and Wallace.... they were both brought up a lot by players as being a big part of the problem.

Disagree. Where is the link to this?

Lol, there’s nothing to disagree with. That is a factual statement based off the words of James Daniels. Are you claiming you don’t believe James Daniels? That would be pretty racist.
