Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

It's amazing any of the dozens of African American players that were drafted could succeed in such a hostile environment.

And I present to you "Exhibit A" on why this whole thing is an enormous problem.

Good job of summing up the majority of the Iowa fan base in one post, though.

Did you graduate from high school? What on earth are you talking about. Did you take a government class, civics, read a history book? Seriously any of those things?
What don't you understand about due process? Victims get to tell their side of the story, the accused get to tell their side of the story. investigators can corroborate stories, etc. I don't understand why you have an issue with that.

So if 5 ex cyclones post on Twitter tomorrow that they experienced racial insensivity from coaches at Iowa State, do you just start firing them? There needs to be due process. An investigation is due process.
Add 55 to that number and I'd say there's probably some validity and if serious enough, there should be firings handed down to all involved.

There are many players saying it starts in the S&C room. They are also saying Kirk is the guy that can lead the program through this change. I will support the players no matter what happens.
Unless they tell unflattering stories about the program THEN they are drug using slouches. You support the Ferentz family no matter what not the athletes.

Those were included in the 22 players that came forward about Doyle. That includes Wadley, DJK and an anonymous person too.

22 is obviously enough to justify a forced resignation in your opinion. What number does Kirk have to reach for you to want him out?

"5 ex Cyclones"

At least 54 former Iowa football players and one current player — most of whom are African American — have made allegations on social media about a culture of racism and bullying in the program.

I can tell you without equivocation you have no idea what due process actually means.

FYI Due process: definition
Fair treatment through the normal judicial system.

There is no due process of law in this case as it is not being investigated through a legal proceeding. It is a privately paid for study.

It obviously came across as sarcastic and that wasn't my intent.

Sure I do. This investigation and everything that is being made public will eventually land in a court of law. Several of the victims have already hired legal representation.

Due process is fair treatment within the judicial system. This isn't the judicial system.
Hence the full meaning of "due process of law". Not "due process of a pre-paid get out jail investgation, study, exam, ____"

Give it a few weeks/months and it will be
You don't believe in due process. If you did Doyle would still be there. This is not about a fair investigation for you. It is about defend Kirk and Brian at ALL costs. Clearly you are a baldist.

Probably true. But at that point for Iowa what's the choice going to be? Fire the coach (which right now looks like their could be cause and you wouldn't have to pay out), or you take his side and have to create a defense against dozens of accusations at once?

The investigation is NOT DUE PROCESS!

I've clearly stated several times I'm absolutely fine with them both being shown the door at this point
