Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

There is no way Wadley is coming up with this entire story to get back at the coaches because he's no longer invited back to the team reunion. I'm sorry. I refuse to believe that. If anyone wants to say Wadley is stretching the truth in some areas, fine, that could be true.

The fact of the matter is that The University of Iowa is not likely even going to address Wadley nor DJK's situation during all of this.
You're right...it's not about reunions, etc. There is definitely a civil suit in the works here.

Now that makes way more sense, but Akrum still would not be making all of this up due to possibly getting a defamation lawsuit, which given this current situation, would be much much worse than scamming fans for some jerseys.

Again, not saying that he isn't stretching the truth, but he's not coming up with these accusations out of thin air.

And you just want to start firing people without any due process.
I think every single one of us know that these things have to get investigated. We're just saying what should happen at the end of all of this. There are a s*** ton of accusations / confirmations of those accusations. They're going to find wrong doing.

Chris Doyle wasn't fired. He's being paid $1.2 million to leave based on him being the primary focus of many of these accusations.
Doyle would've been fired, but had that happened he would've come back, sued the school, and could've blamed everything on Kirk and Barta. Iowa didn't want to prove wrongdoing because they then would've had to explain why the wrongdoing was happening in the first place. Why was it going unchecked? See where I'm going with this?

If he said that it was the first press conference regarding any of this. Maybe he hadn't seen the accusations yet. Since then, he has spoken about the accusations and said he was contacting players individually.

Now you are just ducking and covering. You mentioned he said on June 5th he was contacting players. On June 12th he made the statement of not paying attention to the accusations at the only presser I know of him having. That was the presser with no Barta and when they had the white kicker answer most of the questions about the new culture.

You understand that but it's apparent there are a lot of people here that do not.

“Over the past 24 hours I have seen some difficult and heartbreaking posts on social media,” Ferentz said in a statement. “I appreciate the former players’ candor and have been reaching out to many of them individually to hear more about their experiences in our program. I am planning on talking to all of them in the coming days. This is a process that will take some time, but change begins by listening first."

I would find it hard to believe a lot of people on here think you can just clean the staff out without investigating. You also are going to find it extremely difficult to disprove over 60 allegations, especially coming from players that are currently on NFL rosters. I understand some of them said they think Kirk can be the guy who fixes things, but that's a moot point.

You're right and given the sensitivity of the situation they either had to force him out and pay him or wait for the investigation which could take several months. Allowing him to remain there would have been more damaging to recruiting, keeping current players, etc.

Thanks. That clears it up then. Kirk lied to the reporters during his June 12th presser. Makes me believe he doesn’t know how to handle the mess he has if he blatantly lies like that. Must be bigger than we even understand.

Yeah they had to get rid of him and this was 100% the best way to do it given Iowa's circumstance.

I agree with what you are saying. Many people here want him fired regardless of the investigation. There are people discrediting the validity of the investigation before it's even really been started.

Well, given it's being done by one of the investigators of the Larry Nassar case, I can fully understand why they're doing that. Even you can agree on that. Iowa grads being within the law firm was a dumb thing to use to discredit this, but this other thing is pretty telling.
