Iowa Football Recruiting

Here is what you Hoks are missing...

This is not a detail issue. It’s a big picture issue. The details of the exact date of his diagnosis for everything and the extent of his disability don’t matter. That argument is BS and you are just throwing things out there so you don’t outright lose an argument to @CyTwins.

This is not a detail issue; this is a big picture issue. Big Picture: The coach knew his player had an issue and instead stopping the bullying, he began to bully the player himself. Most of you would be reprimanded at your work for ONE instance of this happening and fired for an ongoing problem that caused someone to quit.

I have severe ADHD, Autism and a reading disability (That’s why I read things wrong sometimes) among other things. The frontal lobe of my brain is all messed up. About the only thing that will get me to concentrate on anything for more than 10 secs is serious amounts of medication or cocaine. Luckily, I didn’t get hooked on cocaine. Anyway...

I say that to say this. I have a glimpse of what Jack’s world is like. With ADHD, the world is a mess. No focus, impulsive anger and behavior, claustrophobia. It’s a nightmare. You hate living with it already. He’s busting his butt in school and in football with a disadvantage in both areas, and the man he’s supposed to look up to basically calls him “r*t*rd*d”

If you want to defend Seth Wallace (saying anything other than he should be fired), be my guest. Just know that no one here will ever respect you judgement about anything.

That's a lot of righteousness coming from a guy who refers to an 18-year-old kid he's never met, who's a devout Christian and by all indications just a good human being, as "Douche". That is of course when you're not talking about how ugly you think he is.

I’m as big of a Hawkeye fan as you’ll find but everything you say here is absolutely correct. The stuff Wallace said was wrong. And you guys are right saying this isn’t bullying, this is harassment something illegal and deserving of grounds for firing. CyTwins is right as are you. Also mega props for sharing your story, it takes guts to say stuff about that.

I’m sorry you’re going through all of that. I’m surprised you’d rip on how other people interpret things though...

I very much agree with this, however he needs to extend his success over the next 5-10 years to earn that title. CMC is someone I firmly believe could get ISU up there with the likes of Iowa, Stanford, and Miami in discussions for TEU. He’s not there yet but I will not be surprised to see that in the future.

The Tight End U thing is a joke. That would be Miami

And a walk-on at that. Pretty good get for Nebraska. Why wouldn’t CMK offer Miller a scholarship with as bad as their OL has been lately?

@CyTwins said he was hearing there was stiff competition for him. Wonder if he decided to walk on at Neb over going to Ames on scholarship? Crazy, because both teams stink on the OL.
Except as far as I heard, they never even offered him. But nice try.

As to why, no room

Hmm.. weird. Never heard about that when all of you guys wanted him. Was that posted prior to yesterday?
Hmmm....weird, last I checked, no one on this forum is a coach on the Iowa State staff who is allowed to hand out offers. So just because some fans wanted a kid doesn't mean the staff did. What an absolute idiotic post by you

Here is mine: (not in any order)

Davidkov
Stephens
Colby
Noel
Freyler
Brown
Pittman
Silas
Bowie
Bruce/Bonifas (stealing an extra because much Bruce’s success depends on how he is used)

Current targets who would absolutely take a spot on my list If they commit.

Michael Trigg (Would honestly be the best commit in either class if Iowa lands him)
Winsome Frazier (would jump to the top of my ISU list if ISU gets him)
Mitchell Evans

No Gunnar Helm or Ricky Parks?

No chance Michael Trigg is coming to this state.

Hadn't heard of Frazier before now. Just checked out his tape. Seems like just a guy. What stands out? Anybody else still recruiting him besides Iowa State?

A 6’3 CB who plays mostly tight press man coverage stands out. He has a decent list of suitors, ISU will have a fight on their hands to get him.
