Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

The only thing that looks silly is ISU fans pretending that they are still in the Fred Hoiberg glory years. Those days aren't coming back under Prhom, that is for sure.
Nice job of responding to the data I presented. Since school was cancelled this spring, do you have to repeat 3rd grade or do you just automatically get passed on to 4th?

You’re a gigantic homer lol. You’re 100% confident that Iowa State will back the NCAA Tournament if Harris and Hinson are both eligible? It’s much more likely that they miss the Tournament than make it, even if both are eligible.
I have absolutely no problem with saying that I'm a very confident Iowa State fan who's always optimistic. Does me saying Iowa State will for sure make the tournament mean they will? Hell no. It honestly doesn't matter what I, nor anyone else says, because everyone knows you will poo poo anything we say.

Weren't you 100% positive last year about this as well? I mean ISU only turned out to be historically bad is all.
I honestly have no idea what I said last year. I was probably optimistic until the Iowa game where you could see we were not a good team at all. I doubt I said 100%. I'll even admit that me saying 100% right now is overly optimistic. I'm confident we'll make the tournament if all guys are eligible.

I see Shayok 2.0 in Hinson.

Shayok didn’t have good stats coming to ISU and he ended up in the League.

Yeah I think a huge reason Shayok wasn't putting up huge numbers at Virginia was because of the system he was in. He was the second leading scorer at 8.9 ppg his final year there.

If iowa got any of the 3 transfers we got this year they would be on bragging about it so much.
I don't even think I'd be dogging them for getting any of these players. All 3 play in major conferences. All three were starters or at least a 6th man. All three do something well.

Obviously none of these guys are world beaters and it'd be dumb to project any of them are going to be unreal or anything but they are good basketball players and would help any team that they go to.

Agreed but everyone knows iowa could never pull in transfers like those 3.

Fran finally started going after transfers in the past two years, because before he didn't like it at all. Their fan base also didn't think it was the right way to do things either, particularly because Fred and Iowa State were having so much success with it.

Much more likely based on what?

Benji would be blowing his wad if they got Hinson
No, he'd die. He blew his wad when they got the Murray twins. Probably said something along the lines of "they are developmental players, but man they have the potential to be REALLY good"

Not complete parallels but the last time we brought back a few talented guys, brought in a stud freshman class, and sprinkled in good transfers, we had a pretty good year (2018-2019).

I’d be happy to make a little wager if you’d like. Avatar choice, charity bet, etc. I’ll bet you that Iowa State doesn’t make the NCAA Tournament, even if Harris is ruled eligible.

I get that, I’m just saying that Shayok and Hinson are similar kinds of players with similar stats when transferring to ISU.

What Hinson can develop into will be up to him and the coaching staff.

Both Harris AND Hinson would have to be eligible imo. I'm not even close to as confident with just Harris.
