Iowa Football Recruiting

So if the actual current and former players feel that the situations have been rectified and the program is doing great things for the racial inequalities in America, you'll still be upset?
Nah f*** that. The young men on the Iowa Hawkeyes are the ones doing great things. The program, ie: Kirk, his culture, his staff, didn't care about any of this until they were called out for years of alleged racial issues.

I will always be upset with how players were treated in that program. We’ll see if any significant changes are made?

For starters, not until KF actually apologizes. He’s refused to do that so far.

And he also keeps saying he wishes the players would have come to him first.

He also hasn’t addressed what happened to Kallenberger either from my understanding.

So I don’t see any evidence that anything is actually changing there.

So don’t criticize me for not giving a f**k about Iowa’s recruiting class.
again. There is a thread for that titled "All Hawkeyes are racists" or something along those lines. If you don't give a F**k about Iowa's recruiting class then why would you read the thread titled "Iowa Football Recruiting"?

That’s not true at all. Ferentz put together a diversity committee in 2017 to address the high transfer rate amongst black players but no one came forward with any of these issues. Ferentz has shown a willingness to loosen the rules a bit over the last couple years (asking his team if twitter ban should be lifted, lifting ban on hats, earrings, etc.). I genuinely think he was surprised by these allegations and had no idea that some of the black former players felt that way.

The rule after the Twitter ban was ridiculous, where you got one tweet per month that was vetted. Also, we all knew he lifted his ban on hats, earrings, and sweatshirts, but good lord that was in what 2015? I literally don't know why we have some of these conversations because no matter what, you will not even consider that maybe the guy you have been bowing down to and kissing his hand, might actually not be the person he portrays himself to be.

Lol oh my

And treating its black players and players with learning disabilities like s**t. You must be so proud!

Not at all. Glad Doyle was let go. And glad that the program is taking the necessary steps to make the changes that former and current players feel will create the best possible environment for everyone. Iowa football will end up in a much stronger, better place as a result.

However Doyle wasn't the one making fun of the kid with the learning disability right? That coach is still on staff? What about the coach who yelled a homophobic slur at a referee in the press box? Is that coach still on staff?

The Iowa Football program will undoubtedly be better after all of this is done, but that doesn't excuse the actions of what I just mentioned above. 0 accountability from upper management (Kirk and Barta).

Several players have stated that they were not comfortable going to Ferentz to voice their concerns, and I know that some of this stuff was brought to black members of the leadership council, and even they didn’t bring it up to Ferentz.
That in itself is an indictment on Ferentz and how he ran the program, that no one would feel comfortable bringing this stuff up to him personally

You literally have no idea what you are talking about. I can’t tell whether it’s amusing or sad.

From the University of Pennsylvania career website:

The Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms is the most comprehensive, candid guide on the nation’s most prestigious law firms...”

From the leading legal blog:

“As luck would have it, the closely watched Vault 100 rankings are here to remind lawyers at the nation’s largest law firms about exactly which ones are considered the most prestigious.”

I could probably pull a dozen more links saying similar things, but you seem like the kind of guy/gal that would never admit you were wrong. Ignorance is bliss.
I sure there are lots of things you pull.

Now lets have more fun.

Husch Blackwell diversity report:
5.7% African American/Black
Equity Partners African-American: : .59%(impressive)
Equity Partners Women: 17.15%
New Hires African American 4.8%(according to the ABA

LOL. No one came forward. Why on earth would that be? It is exactly why the defense team litigation strategy called an investigative report won't reveal anything.

I have no idea, has it been proven Doyle was the one that posted grades on the board?

I think that was Wallace, if what he did is true that's gross and he should go. I don't know who yelled a slur at a ref, was that part of BF's tantrum that one time?

Never said any of the actions of those guys should be excused. That's why the independent investigation and player committee are doing what they're doing, to bring the program to a place where they're satisfied and happy with the culture shift.

Yeah it was Brian against Minnesota in 2017 and he did not receive any sort of punishment.

Seth Wallace, the linebacker coach. Doyle made fun of him also, but DJ Johnson confirmed it was Wallace.

That story makes me sad and pissed off at the same time. That is the type of bull s*** that was allowed in the program and there are people on here denying any wrongdoing.
Don't know why it would take an investigation to figure that out and if there should be punishment. Kirk wants to sell people on this theory of how Iowa is progressing, there's changes, and open dialogue, yet he can't get to the bottom of this?
