Iowa Football Recruiting

Did the PSU players want Paterno to stay employed? I feel like many came out and said they did.
The players and recruits stayed committed to the team. The local media skewed the story and tried to deny the involvement of JoePa. The national media and outside voices were the ones calling for a full overthrow of the program and then as time went on and the more information that came forward, Penn State had no choice.

I mean there is no doubt there are clear differences in the seriousness of these two situations, however the general idea that a coach was not holding someone accountable is what's key here.

Yep and Kirk is more guilty than Paterno in all of this because he let it happen AND got involved in it
Wellllll there was actually new information that came out a couple of years back that Joe Paterno knew of Sandusky's behaviors back in the mid-70's..

Yeah Paterno helped cover it up just like Kirk but he never was involved in it happening while multiple athletes claimed Kirk to be racist as well

So basically you guys are not ok with Iowa investigating the players claim. Just fire Kirk and label him a racist. Gotcha.

I can understand you not being able to see the glaring differences, given your obsession with hot teenage boys.
It's not as stupid as you think... In a lot of these scandals, whether that be Penn State, Baylor, Ohio State 2x, the majority of the players did not want their head coach to be fired, even if they were aware of the issues but not directly involved. Although the stories don't directly align with one another, there are similarities.

CORRECT! I am not OK with Iowa investigating the players claims. EXACTLY! Get a legit impartial law firm not a defense law firm to investigate. JFC why is this so ******* hard to understand.

Just like it was awful that the AD investigated the football players that raped the athlete.

First of all, equating felony child molestation on a mass scale with coaches making racist and racially insensitive remarks and treating college players differently, horrible and inexcusable as that is, makes zero sense.

Second, the players at PSU weren't the victims of the crime. The children and families of the children were. I don't recall any of them coming out in support of any of the PSU coaches. So claiming that Iowa players and former players coming out and saying coaches should stay is the same as PSU players saying coaches should stay makes equally zero sense.

Is it racism or is it ignorance? They want change but they aren't calling Kirk racist. You are. Was Doyle targeting all black players because of their skin color or was he targeting specific athletes for another reason? Was he equally as hard on some white players? Did all black players have negative experiences with Doyle or was it just some? Did some white players have negative experiences working with Doyle? There's no doubt he said things that are insensitive and made players uncomfortable but I think the investigation will find that he was just a jerk to a lot of players and it wasn't isolated to certain players because of the color of their skin.
JFC, how effing idiotic are you? You can't take the **** of KF out of your lips for one second and realize the truth. You just want to believe SO HARD that he didn't do anything. Or that Doyle was just "ignorant". If he was just "ignorant" and was equally as hard on white players, then where are all the white players standing up and claiming all the terrible things he did?! My God. Delete your account. People with as little lack of intelligence as you need not to have a platform or space to spew such stupid comments

Winning head coaches have been fired for a lot less than child molestation...

I'm in no way equating the seriousness in these situations. But if you'd like to, Jim Tressel retired after the scandal with the tattoo parlor came to light. Remember? He covered up players selling memorabilia for $? Yeah, probably a little bit less of an ethical issue than making racist and racially insensitive remarks and treating college players differently based on their skin color.

What's the difference?

Plus, you probably don't know the answers to most of those questions.

Cause you guys are not being impartial. You guys want the destruction of the Iowa program for the benefit of ISU. This is nothing more then wishful thinking. I feel that you guys need to listen and respect the opinions of the players and their parents on how to remedy and move forward. Is that so much to ask? You guys are using the players as pawns to achieve your ulterior motives.
