Iowa Football Recruiting

Kirk isn’t shying away from his roll in this, he understand where he sits. That is why he asked all those former and current players if he is the issue and can he lead this program out of this. The vast majority said he could lead, and he isn’t the issue.
Kirk's original stance on all of this was that he never heard of one racial issue within his program in the 20 years he's been there.. That stance changed when the ground started shaking from beneath him.

To be fair that is nearly an impossible question. "nah kirk you are a ******* racist" is that what you expect them to say?

So if the former players who are involved with what's currently happening, as well as the current players and the recruits who've stayed committed and continue to verbal are all happy with how things are moving forward within the program, is that enough for you?

This exactly. If the current and former players wanted Kirk out he would be out. The players wanted this change, the players are getting the change they wanted.

Are you denying incompetence and lack of control by Kirk and the athletic program?

Also, you can find a majority of the Penn State players and recruits that were still going to commit and play for Joe Paterno back when all of that went down. And Joe Pa was covering up a child rapist, so, you can sort of see how that argument is a bit skewed.

You didn't answer the question.

Yeah if James Daniels and Jaleel and Mike Daniels and Dez King thought he was the issue, you think they were just “covering” for him? The vast majority called out who they saw as the issue, and if they thought Kirk was the issue he wouldn’t be at Iowa any longer as well.

Man I don't think it is that easy. If you were being honest it isn't.

No need for him to apologize because they know how he feels though right?

My answer was in the bottom half of it. Players saying they don't want Kirk fired and believe he can change does not negate Kirk's wrongdoing.

You're being obtuse. It's a pretty simple question, but I'll reword it for you:

If the former players, current players, commits who've stayed committed and commits who have verballed in the weeks since this started to unfold are satisfied and happy with the way the program is responding and believe KF should continue leading the program to a better, stronger place, is that enough for you?

Yes? No?

In response to your deflection, of course KF deserves blame for this happening on his watch. Nobody is trying to negate that, and if they are they're just dumb.

Here's the clear answer that I've made before.. If the investigation comes out and Kirk is not found to had done enough wrong doing to be asked to part ways, and the team backs him up, then that's that. Nothing I say or think matters.

The narrative is that under Kirk, Iowa's program has greatly suffered from institutional racism. Who's fault is that then? Who is to blame for that? Dr. Tom Davis?

So can you explain how Iowa has greatly suffered from institutional racism? If anything the players speaking out are great young men and wants to bring positive changes to the program The person that they want to lead that change is
Kirk. Shouldn’t their opinions count more then mine or yours?

I mean, we don't have to explain how, there were literally 60+ former players who gave their experiences..
