Thanks for making my point. You can't blame an entire group of people based on the actions of a few. No, I do not think the entire ISU campus is racist because of a few bad egg; nor should anyone automatically assume the entire coaching staff at Iowa is racist because of Doyle.

No one really is making that point. We are making the point that this starts at the top and Kirk's that guy. But, we can just pretend that we believe Kirk when he said that he doesn't remember any claims in his 21 years at Iowa.

By the way, has he publicly apologized to those that have felt marginalized and degraded due to their race or no?

Here is the major difference.. If our President of the University knew about these incidents for years, knew that people were upset, did NOTHING about it, and then lied that she never heard of racism on her campus, these situations would be similar. They're not even close.

If you want to call Kirk a liar, I can't do anything about that. Nobody here knows what has been said (or not said) in the locker rooms. But there are some posters on here, as stated by others, that WANT Iowa to be racist because they think it's funny. Shame on those posters

Brian, James, and Steve were all in the weight room and locker rooms.
If they heard anything and weren't comfortable telling their father, something is massively wrong at Iowa.

Maybe they weren't blatently racist comments, calling people the "n" word. There have been stories out there of Doyle making fun of people's hometowns. Some people really take offense to that, others not so much. There easily could have been poor communication between all of the coach's.

what is the “truth” to you? I don’t think you are really looking for the truth. You are searching for evidence or proof that Kirk is a racist. Hasn’t happened. You won’t be satisfy until Kirk admits or can be proven to be a racist. Admit it, you don’t want him to be be innocent. That’s the only way you will be satisfied. What’s come out so far does not fit your narrative so you will just hammer away until your “truth” can be proven.

Problem is Sally Mason is the one who made that decision. I don't like Barta, but he was carrying out orders when he fired Griesbaum.

The truth is simple: Kirk is lying about knowing about mistreatment of certain players. You're being a Kirk nut-hanger by giving him the benefit of the doubt on this specifically. Pleading ignorance to those actions doesn't dissolve you from guilt.

I literally said there is something wrong at Iowa if 3 Ferentz boys might have heard something but never said anything. Remember this has all taken Kirk by surprise?

All throughout this process, I've thought Brian needs to step up and talk about his experience:

He had more than 1 son in the weight room. All that needs to be asked is did you ever hear racist comments.

Did Kirk or a reporter bring up Brian at all today?

Press conference doesnt really say Q&A. I hope there are difficult questions and that he actually answers them, including ones about Brian. Doubt it happens that way though.

Unfortunately I'm not sure on that. Kendal Briles hasn't skipped a beat.

Again, I think a pointed question to Brian of "did you ever hear or do anything out of line in the weight room, on the field, in an office?"

No - and I don't think Kirk Ferentz is a racist. I don't know that I actually think anyone there is racist. I think Doyle is ignorant and insensitive but I don't know that he is actually racist. I believe there are plenty of black athletes that also had good experiences working with Doyle.
