Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

The overwhelming majority of players that have spoke out haven't brought up that they think KF should lead the change, they just didn't mention it at all. Not being mentioned and players actually saying "KF can and should lead this change" are not the same thing. How dumb are you?
The overwhelming majority of players that have spoke out haven't brought up that they think KF can't lead the change. More have spoken out in support of KF than against him. See how that works.

Except that's now how that works....so swing and miss

You are also inferring he wants KF gone, which he didn't say.

I never once inferred that. I don't know and I agree with him it's not really up to the players, after the process of the investigation goes through and all evidence is on the table then it's up to Barfa and the UofI to decide.

It does work that way; it works both ways actually. They literally have players on record saying they support KF and he is the man to lead them through this. Yes, many haven't spoken either way and 1 player has blamed KF for everything under the sun (DJK). If they felt strongly enough that KF can't lead the change then I think they would say so; especially past players. There will be an investigation and if nothing damaging to KF comes out of that investigation, these players will rally behind him.

I agree with this, but if damaging allegations do come out about KF then it's not really in the players hands as to whether he stays or goes.

This is true. There have been a couple that suggested cleaning house, there have been a few saying they think KF can be part of the solution. Most have not said one way or the other. Unfortunately much of the state sports media is interpreting what you say as something like this:

50 players coming forward - 2 that want KF gone = 48 players that overwhelmingly support KF and think he is THE guy to lead this change.

I also think the default position for most players is to defend their coach, so I'm a little surprised there hasn't been more support. But it's a tough situation for these players. Do they feel like if they speak out in support of KF they are not supporting the other players that had problems? If they come out an say KF should be gone they face wraith of fans (and no, this is not unique to Iowa fans).

They also just might not really know how to feel about the whole situation. People are complex. Obviously KF has done some very good things beyond football, and has been an important mentor to many players, including some of those with accusations. With that said, it really comes down to whether or not the negative things should disqualify him from being in such a position leading young men. I think his actions or inactions in this case, the Everson/Satterfield case, and the Rhabdo situation suggest clearly he should not, but that's for others to decide.

Perfectly stated. That is all I was trying to get across with everything I have commented on.

I'll let you in on a little secret. Nothing damaging is going to come out of that investigation with who they hired

Already discrediting an investigation being conducted by a law firm that was good enough for Iowa State to hire on multiple occasions?

Thousands???
In 21 years???
Math is not your friend.
Well, they can have up to 125 "active" players in a year. They also have inactive players. He's been the head coach for 21 years. I think it's safe to assume he has coached thousands of players.

So you think it is a conflict of interest to hire a law firm that employs Iowa grads to conduct the investigation, even if none of the Iowa grads are involved in the investigation?

I know they will say they will assign two or three people to the case and none will be Iowa grads of course but to pretend like Iowa grads won't have their hands on the case is laughable

It could be, but if you say the average stay of a player is 3 years in the program by your numbers it would total out to 875 players.

Ok....When someone leaves they bring in another player to replace them. The number of active and inactive players in any given year is higher than 125. Not too mention he has actually coached a lot longer than 21 years and if we are looking for a history of racist behavior, I think they would look at his entire career. Include transfers, etc. it goes up.
