"Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz, who coaches from the press box, shouted several obscenities, including a homophobic slur, after the Hawkeyes lost the ball on a video review late in the second quarter."

Yeah Brian wasn't just using "naughty language". But I'm sure you probably think the comments made by Doyle and Brian towards their African-American players were also just "naughty language".

Sounds like a hate crime.

He shouldn't have a job but I'm happy he still does

What a time to be alive.

ISU fans are defending Rob Howe and Jordan Bohannon.

For the record, I completely agree with Bohannon and his tweets.

I believe it was Winston Churchill who once said "Decades of rampant, unchecked racism makes strange bedfellows".

You're making the assumption tee-shirt fans give a **** about more than winning football games.
I think there's actually a lot of validity in what you just said. I'm sure if we would take a poll and people had to answer honestly, we'd find the majority of these people that are behaving so negatively are those that probably did not actually attend the University of Iowa. They could care less about what happened, less about some of these players and their experiences, while truly only caring about the wins and losses.

To go along with that and not just pick on Iowa, I'm sure most fan bases are like that. Those types of fans don't care because they don't have any affiliation to the school. They don't understand the meaning of being associated with it and what comes along with that. They never saw those athletes or the athletes in their day walking the campus or in the dining halls, or spoke with them at a social event (bars / house party). Because of that, they don't view these athletes as actual people, rather a means for their entertainment purposes.

We're Iowa State, we've proven for 100 years that winning isn't everything:)

I rated your post funny because you said that Brian Ferentz should have AT LEAST been reprimanded a couple times. For what, using naughty language? I mean, can you imagine a football coach cursing? The horror!!!

For the record, Dabo Swinney doesn't cuss, and doesn't allow his assistants to cuss. How has that guy done? I know he doesn't go 7-5/8-4 every year, but I'm remember reading somewhere he has done an OK job at Clemson.

After the last Clemson Championship Ball, I had, maybe to many glasses of wine and I go "**** ya Dabo!" and hugged him. He then proceeded to scold me like a child lol, but then told me to just try and do better and God is still with me or something, and the point of this story is I would run through a wall for Dabo.
