Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

We stole one of the best S&C coaches in the country from Pitt

Iowa has this guy

I feel really bad for this guy for having to follow in the footsteps of Doyle. Not only because Doyle was one of the best in the business, but because this guy might walk on egg shells when dealing with players as to not emulate Doyle's behaviors.

Finebaum being against Iowa is actually a positive for Iowa. He's a putz.

The public outcry outside of the Iowa fanbase is not going away until either one or both of the Ferentzes are gone. Iowa fans can spin it all they want that they are going to lead the way and set the new standard, the national perception of the program will stay bad until they are out.

Hard to feel bad for a guy who witnessed years of abuse and racism and did nothing about it

I see ANE has the following - didn't realize there were 10 UofI graduates! Hard to imagine a fair disclosure of issues will be forthcoming.
There are actually 16 partners there who have some type of degree from the university of Iowa, not 10.

Totally understand that thought, but also think we should remember that there was a major power hierarchy within the program. We have no clue if this guy said anything and was turned away or he was put in his place by those above him.

I think that he is "interim" for a reason. I'm guessing that he's just a placeholder, as Kirk feels that this will blow over, and then they can go and hire a big, ugly, mean S&C coach.

Yeah, I should have included the jimlad.

You could apply this line of thought to any former black player at Iowa. Its a stupid line of thought but you went there with this comment.

So now we are discrediting the report before it is even issued - even though it is being conducted by one of the best law firms in the Midwest - because that firm employs people who went to Iowa? Good lord.

He still thinks Iowa could have voided Doyle's contract yesterday for the FY that starts on 7/1/2020.

Do you understand how conflict of interest works?

Yep. We've seen this movie before.

Agree with this. He may have said things but got told to shut the hell up or get fired. Which granted, that would be a moral issue for him internally, but i'm sure he also wanted the opportunity to advance his career. Could have been but inbetween a hard place and a rock

No one is discrediting the report. We have no idea what attorney is going to be conducting the research. However, if the attorney chosen is from the U of I and nothing substantiative comes back, I can guarantee you there will be a lot of questions asked.
