The entire point of having a press conference on a Friday is to NOT BE IN THE NEWS MONDAY. I'm a burnout with an alcohol problem and could do this job better than Barta.

Barta just keeps having to write checks for settlements, shutting people up, etc, etc. You would think Harreld would step in at some point, but nope. Harreld really isn't any better.... the hospital doesn't pay any of their bills and just stiffs the contractors too. That university is just a total mess from top to bottom.

Because if Barta didn't pay Doyle off... then you have to think Doyle will fight this, and that will not go well at all and will get really messy. Can you imagine Doyle coming out with everything he knows about KF. Yikes.

If it is revealed he's having health issues, yes, that would be bad news. I don't want that to happen to anyone.

It still isn't a reason for the university to remain quiet, and will look terrible if that is their reason. It's a perfectly reasonable excuse for Barta's silence, but it's not a reason for the school to sweep this under the rug.
