Yeah I’m sure that’s how it went. Dude they were scared of retribution. If someone offers you more freedom and you decline, that’s fear. Plain and simple.

The media in this case has no cajones, zero. How long was spend on #BandGate that ended up being pretty much a Nothing Burger? How about when an Iowa Fan broke in to Iowa's locker room in Ames and stole a bunch of stuff? It's Iowa Football. As long as they have to be worried about their access to Kinnick and writing fluff pieces for the Drunks in Ottumwa, they won't do ****.

Strong disagree. Is your stance that if a person of color alleges racism, a white person should not point out that they received the same treatment, because doing so would be an attempt to discredit the complainant? Just let the scarlet letter of being labeled a racist hang over the person being accused, even if they have personal evidence to suggest that is an unfair accusation? That seems misguided.

Everyone has a different perspective. Hankins should be encouraged to share his experiences and how he perceived them, and his teammates should feel free to participate in that dialogue and share how they perceived the events. That is how we learn from one another. I don’t view that as belittling or discrediting.

Ferentz is going to be considered a racist the rest of his career as he should be

Man, I wish the Iowa football program would take on other major issues. They not only fixed racism in about one week, they're also the leaders of the pack on the issue. Can't wait to watch next week's episode of "Kirk Figures It Out".

Pretty much how they sought validatuion this past week by calling every former player. What do they expect the player to tell Kirk directly? That's why these type of things have to be handled by an independent party, so that the people called feel more freedom to express their feelings/opinions. But they of course knew that. KKKF instead decided to make the calls himself so that if anyone came forward afterwards he could just say: "when I spoke to them, they didn't say there were any issues." Just another bad faith tactic to control the narrative. They know what they're doing and know how innapropriate it was for KF to call those players.

All I have to say is that KKKF contacting players this time and contacting a victim of sexual assault last time is what I would call: "things a lawyer or HR department would definitely not want you to do 101". However, it serves the purpose of intimidating the victims, so of course that is what they did.

No. That is not what anybody has said. Several posters here were making comparisons between the 2 situations. Racism and bullying are wrong and not to be defended. What Jerry Sandusky did is not the same. If you can't understand that I can't help you.
