I’m not going to call you an idiot, even if doing so would be well-deserved, because it’s Friday evening and you likely aren’t at your sharpest.
I believe most players said they didn't feel they could go to KF. We've had a couple players say when they went to him they were either shutdown, belittled, told to apologize or suspended. Please cite a player that went to Kirk with a staff issue and reported a positive outcome.
I don’t think we’ve had any players other than Diauntae Morrow say that they tried to raise an issue to Ferentz. That’s an issue and he needs to be more approachable with the players. How does that have anything to do with my post?
Just caught up with everything that happened today just to find a bunch of nothing sauce. Ferentz using canned responses and plausible deniability to not reveal anything. Worst of all the local media not doing **** to get underneath this. ISU was thrown out to dry last Fall with bandgate by the same local media that refuses to cover this story because they are scared of the repercussions from the Iowa AD. If that isn't the reason, what is the hold up? So much for justice for the victims. Let them organize and grab Iowa by the throat now. KF's status quo with his regime, not apologizing, and the silence of Barta and Harreld speaks volumes they expect this to go away if they don't give it air and the local media will play the part and just go through the motions.
You are seriously struggling tonight. Several players stating that they were not comfortable going to Ferentz to voice their concerns means...shockingly...that they likely never went to Ferentz to voice their concerns. How are the two posts you just quoted contradictory (hint: they’re not)?
Why would the ISU women’s basketball player lie about being called a thug? I guess you think that Fennelly actually called her that? I mean, why would she lie? You think Fennelly should still be the coach after calling a black player a thug? Yikes.
There’s nothing to divert from. You guys obviously will believe anything negative anyone says about Ferentz, because you hate Iowa and you think he is evil. You’ll even believe it when someone says Ferentz hates mixed couples, even though he has four black assistant coaches on staff in mixed-race marriages, at least three of whom have mixed race children. Personally, I will continue to support the vast majority of the current and former players who have spoken out, while remaining skeptical of those who are obviously not telling the truth. You do you though.
You said Harris was the only one that named KF as part of the problem. He built a culture were players knew they were expected to conform and going to "the boss" just lead to digging a deeper hole.
Do you really think Kirk can survive and Iowa will be able to successfully bring in AA players?
I banking he can't, so as I've stated prior the football fan in me hope's you retain every damn one of them.
