This was written just a couple days before Wadley played his last game for Iowa.

“His dad was ready to tell him, ‘Let’s go to Temple.’ I said no,” Phelps said.

She told Akrum: “Coach Ferentz is telling me that you need to eat. You’re going to leave because somebody wants you to eat?”

She told Ferentz: Her son would earn his position back.

“And that was the end of that,” she said.

Phelps trusted that her son was in the right place to get through the tough, early times.

“Because I knew what Iowa was made of,” she said. “Ferentz and his coaches, they’re classy, family men.”

Oh no, not a senior day fluff piece. All is forgiven.

That was really hard to understand. But what I did understand, is that they're disputing KF's "I've never heard anything" statement.

I still get a kick out of the concept that "Kirk didn't know" is some kind of mitigating factor. If he truly didn't know this was going on, that's a problem in-and-of itself.

No one with an ounce of sensibility believes that ****. That guy, I think, is going to be toast. He deserves it.

He should be, but who is holding him accountable right now aside from former players and their families? National media maybe, but they'll move on pretty quickly when something else comes up. We're still in the middle of getting all these first hand accounts and already the fans and media are making it pretty clear they have no interest in putting blame at his feet, or if they do it's immediately followed with "I'm sure he's learned his lesson, problem fixed".

If I'm KF the overall message I'm getting is maybe get rid of Doyle, but he can stay if you really want him to, but otherwise I'm getting a big ol' green light to do anything for wins.

Kirk is pretty damn highly regarded throughout the NFL. If he advised a NFL scout to proceed with caution they are gonna listen.
Blacklist a 1st round talent? No.

Tell teams that a 3rd-5th round talent is a locker room cancer, cokehead that runs with dealers and lives ina drug house? That will probably do the trick.

Maybe Barta is busy number crunching in regards to getting rid of KF. Since losing $6 million a few years ago, he is good at giving out money and contracts. Probably contacting boosters to help with the buyout plan. Have to wait and see.

Right, because football players with NFL aspirations make it a habit to have their families badmouth their coach on senior day. Especially ones who are late round or FA prospects. Nothing says give me a job like slinging mud at your current coach. People say great things about ****** people in power all the time to try and gain favor.

Wonder if more fans are going to be more mad that Rob posted this than they are mad about their program's disgusting culture.

You already know the answer to this silly
