Staiger to play Friday

My realistic expectations of Lucca's first game:

5 points
3 assists
5 rebs

In somewhat limited minutes due to knee.

This is what he said about L.A. Pomlee on redshirting

“I’ve discussed it with him,” McDermott said. “That could change, depending on if there are any injuries or illness.”

Has Gmac not got used to being at ISU yet. He is still saying "if" there are any injuries or illness. He also for got " or if the NCAA comes in and delcares half the team ineligible for no real reason".

Gmac in just about every single interview I've seen has gone out of his way to temper expectations in regard to Lucca. I think that says something. Basically, he's a good ball player but don't expect some kind of game changer.

C'mon...where's that Cyclone optimism???

37 points (10-10 3pt)
7-7 FT (fouled 7 times while shooting 3's)
14 assists (mostly to Brackins for alley-oop dunks)
4 reb (hey - he's out on the perimeter alot)

In somewhat limited minutes due to knee...

I say either as soon as the game starts, start chanting Free Lucca or when he goes to the scoring table to check in.

ahahaha there's the spirit!!!!

But I'll raise you to 41 points (10-10 3pt) & (2-2 on windmill dunks from free throw line) *in addition to 7-7 free thows.

anything less would be a huge let down.

I don't know...windmill dunks at this point might be too much for that knee...

Actually, the gyroscopic action of windmilling one's arms greatly improves stability, which makes for an easier landing. Now if he starts doing helicopter dunks, I would be very concerned about his knee.

i heard lucca is going to play all five positions
get the water for the team
Sell hotdogs in the stands
Defend eveyr other player on the team
and on top of it take all the coaches wifes out for a nice dinner afterwards

thats just what i heard

that is not what i read into that... a coach is always going to lower the fans expectations so that there is not so much pressure on a player to perform like an all-american

Here's my guess:

Lucca posts a quadurple double: 21 points (7-7 from 3 point land), 15 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals.

At the end of the game, we hoist his number in the rafters

He quits ISU after that game, knowing he can't top that performance and we declare him the GREATEST CYCLONE EVER!!!!
