Just a idea but why not kneel during the wave and leave the anthem alone. I see it as a win/win. Brings awareness to both good cause at once!

It's a paywall, but I pasted it above.Link pls, that's a goldmine waiting to happen.
Inb4 "yeah it accomplishes the exact same thing and represents the exact same cause, but our kneeling isn't during the anthem, so that makes it okay and respectful"
There is one thread where Iowa fans are talking about how things are happening in programs other than Iowa. I have also seen it in the threads on the subject.
Quick question for you, if Iowa keeps KF and how he handles things in the coming months makes Iowa stronger than they are now what will the response be on this site?
My guess is clone fans will be more pissed than ever at Iowa and the hate will go to a whole new level. Some here will have their heads explode.

Absolutely phenomenal. Frankly, I hope it catches on (for a variety of reasons).Money where my mouth is (other posters agreed with this, BTW):

This post is profoundly instructive as to how hok fans view Kirk. Kirk is in total control of everything, without any oversight or accountability to anyone. And they are just fine with that.
JoePa all over again.
"The Iowa Way"This goes beyond KF.
Remember the rules of Hawkdom
1) Iowa is better at everything and always right
2) If #1 is false, see #1

"Quick! Give the kids Twitter access and a template to say whatever while looking more official to help save face!"Players tweeting now. They all have the same Iowa background and logo with it. It's not a standard tweet.
Could you imagine the chaos if they asked fans to kneel to support BLM? You would have half the fans kneeling, the other half standing there with their arms crossed, followed by little skirmishes breaking out afterwards with people arguing about the others' choice to kneel or not kneel. Yeah...that would be a sight to behold.Absolutely phenomenal. Frankly, I hope it catches on (for a variety of reasons).

That's even more bizarre than the Iowa fans who wanted ISU to do a wave from Jack Trice during their bye week a few years ago.
It would be awesome. For so, so many reasons. There's something there for everyone to enjoy.Could you imagine the chaos if they asked fans to kneel to support BLM? And Murph just called it "stationary."Players tweeting now. They all have the same Iowa background and logo with it. It's not a standard tweet.

So am I, I wholly support them using this newfound messaging to their advantage. They'd be stupid not to, and no, not every kid wants to burn things down and leave. Change is hard and getting used to life and friends a certain way has value. I have exactly zero problems with the players' activities. This might be hard for you to believe but maybe the kids really do love Iowa football enough that they want to stick around and make it better instead of burning it all down and leaving.
Really impressed by the composure and depth of some of the tweets current players are sending out.
The kid's statements were very good. This wasn't a player issue though. There weren't issues regarding player to player misconduct. It all stemmed from multiple coaches within the staff. I'm glad that Iowa lifted the ban on social media so the kids were allowed to speak their mind. This might be hard for you to believe but maybe the kids really do love Iowa football enough that they want to stick around and make it better instead of burning it all down and leaving.
