Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

So I had a fun night having driveway drinks with the neighbors and I wake up to this and I'm just crushed by these stories.

Sometimes as fans we let our fandom come in the way of common sense, that won't be happening to me. Doyle needs to be gone, that is a no brainer. If Ferentz tries to come out and keep Doyle on staff then he needs to go as well. I am not a person who will excuse or defend these things. If anything is ever going to change in this country then people in positions of authority like Doyle need to go. If a person is willing to bully and intimidate through racial slurs that is exactly what this country needs to eliminate from our society.

This is going to be an ugly chapter in our country, but one that is long overdue. It has been 50+ years since MLK, and frankly the work was never finished with desegregation. That generations hearts and minds was never going to allow it to change quickly. I would have hoped that new generations would have been better. Lets hope our younger generation does better yet. Unfortunately my generation did nothing at all to help foster a culture where racial injustices were shown a light that could kill those scourges from this country. Lets hope this generations great achievement is the path to racial equality.

Now go ahead and mock me and my post, I expect nothing less here. I still wanted to say my piece on this anyway.
Dec 12th is when I’m predicting an alien invasion just to put the cherry on top. That or a killer asteroid
Oops. You must've missed the asteroid that just passed us the other day. Sigh of relief ;). But we still have that invasion to look forward to.

I have noticed the title of the thread and I any trying to figure out if clone fans are really trying to change the world or just find reasons to justify their hate of Iowa?
Most of us have always had a hatred for Iowa, but the Iowa program has done a pretty easy job of giving us a justifiable reason not to like them even more now.

Well, I am wondering if you are trying to deflect from the problems within your program by trying to accuse us of caring about rivalry over human and civil rights? I deeply care about what I have heard about those other programs.

So will clone fans also be going after Utah, Clemson and Missouri or is this just limited to Iowa? I assume your newly appointed position of correcting all injustices sure will keep you busy. Or will we only hear from clone fans in regards to Iowa?

Utah just fired a guy, Mizzou almost melted down and ousted their University President(?) or something like that a few years ago? I think we had a thread or two here about it. Clemson has been battling back and forth with accused misconduct by Dabo for a couple months now.

So, no, it's not just an Iowa thing. You just happen to be the closest and biggest name right this second.

If I were you, I'd worry more about dealing with your issues than being upset about what a rival board has to say about it. Hell, your boards are spending most of their time attacking the guys coming out about this stuff. How do you think that looks?

You should be appalled with your football program, not worrying about Cyclone fan outrage.

I don’t in any way condone racist activity. If that occurred I expect those individuals to be held accountable for it. Are clone fans demanding Dabo’s firing for using the n-word? How about the FSU coach or the coach at Utah? Are clone fans going to rally around each and every incident that is reported or are you all going to just worry about Iowa?

1 tweet "pre-approved" for the month is VASTLY worse than the prior ban on tweeting. Like disgustingly bad
The fact that they have a timeline too.. 5 pm on Sunday night lol. You're on a football team, not writing for the New York Times.

I think we have all tolerated stuff that is unacceptable. We all have to strive to be better. That includes Iowa State. I just fear that we are going to be in for a rude awakening of how prevalent stuff is.

If folks are rudely awakened now, that just means that they haven't been paying attention for a long time.

Why would you "fear" learning how prevalent racism is? It's a good thing to know. It's white privilege to go along with our routines and not be affected by what our black brothers and sisters face EVERY DAY of the week and EVERY TIME they're in public.

How many threads on Iowa websites are currently speaking about Clemson, FSU, and Utah?

I don't hate Iowa. It is that 25% of their fans that are total Dbags that I can't stand. Several are trolls on here. Dex, hawkmi and gonzo (although he can venture into that are at times) are the decent fans that you can at least carry on a conversion with.

Nice to see you kept up on what is really occurring. Kind of like when CyTwins was sure that the way Iowa was handling their Season Ticket Renewal process was “disgusting”.
