Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

I’ve been kind of down on college athletics ever since Titus and Tate’s podcast on college basketball. They would have stories from managers that were pretty awful. There are too many coaches who get off on the control they have over their student-athletes.

Wow, a walk-on received a harsher punishment for getting into trouble with the police than other players? I’m shocked!

So all the concrete evidence I've provided on Kirk is made up but the concrete evidence on Doyle is a fireable offense?

When you're dismissing players stories simply because they aren't stars, you're part of the problem.

If anything, all that might say is that coaches know where their bread is buttered and keep a filter on themselves for their more important players, and let their true selves come out with the rest.

So a 4 oclock press conference on Sunday is apparently happening.

It will be about the vandalizing of the statue instead of the real issue. Kirk can't speak about Brian and nobody will ask the questions that would be asked

This was it. It’s really funny. Not really sure which ones were the juicy ones. Pretty sure there’s a story about Alford at UCLA when they had that 6’10” 300# center (Josh Smith?). Smith took an entire plate of cookies from a post game meal and hid them in his locker. Alford or somebody on his staff sniffed it out.

Kevin Stallings is one I remember being a giant db. There were a couple of respectable stories about Huggins. Titus loves Thad Matta — he sounds like a good dude.

Friend told me press conference at 4:00. Any truth to this?

Yes but IIRC it was a Zoom PC with Ferentz set up yesterday after all this broke. Not something new that was just announced. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Kirk has kicked multiple white walk-ons off the team for run-ins with the law. Punishments are often harsher for walk-ons. That’s not racism.
