Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

You should get more wins, have you seen the non-conference schedule besides the Emerald Classic and at Iowa? Cupcakes all over the place.

Seems pretty standard. Holiday tourney, Oregon State like last year, a good mid major, Iowa, Big East opponent and SEC opponent

Lol c'mon. This is like an Iowa schedule from recent years where they'd struggle to 20 wins then wonder why they ended up on the wrong side of the bubble or in a play in game. Which I'd be fine with for ISU this coming season after last year's debacle. Only if we land Smith or a similar player, and Harris gets a waiver will I feel like ISU is a tourney team again

With the exception of last season, I have hated the way Fran schedules the non conference. We should draw really good matchups in the B1G/ACC Challenge and the Gavitt Games this season. Hopefully, it is something along the lines of Louisville and Creighton in those games.

ISU will not be a tourney team with Smith and an immediately eligible Harris.

How would you know anything about NBA draft picks? That’s a completely foreign concept to Frannie.
That's just a dumb card to play. So you're ok with Hawk fans telling you that you wouldn't know anything about NFL draft picks?

Didn’t you know that isu’s 2nd round draft picks are way different than Iowa’s 2nd round draft picks? Clone fans say so that’s why.

Adding a good recruiting class plus Johnson, Harris, JCL and Smith makes us a tourney team IMO

C'mon, one played a few games with Orlando over a 2 year period and the other didn't even sniff the court. How could you forget? ;)

You thought isu was a tourney team going into last season and one that couldn’t possibly lose to Iowa in Hilton.

How well did that turn out?

Ok tough guy, shall we roll out the career NBA stats of these 2nd round picks and see how different they are? Iowa State has had several first round picks in the last 20 years too. Not sure how many decades since that's happened for Iowa. Ricky Davis in 97? So one in 23 years?

There it is when all else fails move the goal posts. Eventually you will get it right.

NFL draft picks? No. NFL first round draft picks, sure. That's something we haven't had happen in a long time. Just like Iowa hasn't had a first round NBA players in a similar stretch
