Iowa Football Recruiting

The part about your first post on this not being completely wrong. How you phrased it in that post never happened.
I was under the impression that Fran was extended not to long before the Purdue game. I was wrong on that. He was extended after he lost to Virginia Tech by 24 as well the two games in the Virgin Islands not long before. Barta and Fran sat on that news for almost two full months before letting the public know.

I honestly think the true story is worse than what I believed it was lol.

Glad you are proud to have a guy that couldn't get on the field at Oregon State as your starter next year. I'm sure that will work out for you. Woof.

I think 100% of Iowa football players that never went to Oregon St. couldn't get on the field for Oregon St.???

This might be the most curious post I've ever seen here.

I can't believe Iowa fans still like Barta after that fiasco

So it is an NCAA appearance then. I will never understand why this is so hard to understand. There is no opinion to even be had on this matter.

The NCAA considers it a tourney appearance even though I saw it not happen with my own eyes. Similar to watching Chris Weber in the Final Four and the NCAA considers that never happened

I'm not a fan of Barta, but he has been running laps around Pollard lately with the sports that matter to fans. 17-3 the last five years in Football, Wrestling, Bball and Women's bball.

My philosophy is you pay for future results, not past performance.

Iowa is 53-39, .576 winning percentage, since Fran signed the extension. These numbers will likely improve after this next season.

Iowa State is 12-20, .375 winning percentage, since Prohm received his extension. These numbers have to go up after this next season, dont they?

Funniest part is that it isn't even an opinion. It is absolutely true that Iowa got an NCAA tournament berth in 2014 according to the NCAA, you know the governing agency that runs the tournament.
Yeah I mean that's not the main reason I think it is, because I'm not the biggest fan of how the NCAA does things some times. I mean they claimed UCF a co-national champion in 2017, but I guess I don't have to agree with everything they do..

I believe it's an appearance because it's literally the start to the NCAA tournament to make the field of 64. No, it's not the first round. Everyone can clearly see the difference there. But it is a game played within the NCAA tournament, which is an NCAA tournament appearance.

That's the beauty of it, the $hitty side of it is all the nutbag licking hok trolls
You'll have that on every website lol. I do enjoy some of the Hawk fans on here. There are some terrible ones though just like there are terrible Iowa State fans on here. The difference between the two of them is that the Iowa State fans are trolling on a website for Iowa State while the Iowa trolls are on their rivals website.

Yep, I don't agree with them expanding the field either. 64 was perfect. But that isn't up to us. We don't run the tournament.

I don’t think the NCAA named UCF as a co-champ (nor should they have). This list shows every football championship that the NCAA recognizes, including the years they recognize multiple champions (like, for example, 1958, when LSU and Iowa were co-national champions). 2017 shows only Bama.

I'm not stating it hasn't worked out for Iowa and Fran since it happened. They've certainly done well these past two years. I do not agree though that you should essentially double someone's salary in hope that they will get better. That's just not a good mindset by an AD in my eyes.

What you said about Pollard and Prohm is true though. Prohm signed that contract and immediately had a terrible year. It certainly has to get better. I can tell you one thing though. Pollard's not going to sign Prohm to an extension in hopes that he gets better that's for dang sure.

This is true. Another way to look it it is one group is logging into to talk about their favorite team on here, where the other group is coming on here to talk about their favorite rival. One thing we should all come together on and appreciate is we love talking about the Hawkeyes.
