Iowa Football Recruiting

Do you think Toren Young is better than Goodson because he put up better yards per carry than Goodson?

Also why do you ignore the fact that Hall is a RB who is a threat in the passing game where Goodson isn't?

Breece Hall is a good back. He torched a total joke of a defense in Texas Tech and had a catch that went for over 60. He had a nice season with that one great game. Texas Tech was ranked 1 spot better on defense than another familiar opponent - ULM. #127 and #128 respectively.
Overall pretty comparable stats. Not enough to really say with any degree of certainty who will be better. You like Hall and Hawk fans like Goodson. So be it.

Slightly after WWII.

Either way you gotta agree that saying Sweet 16's are ISU's standard is just dumb, right?

What year did they win the big ten title? I remember one where they tied with OSU, because of not playing everyone, and I think OSU played in the title game so the big ten would have deemed them the champs that year. I honestly don't remember.

I would not say the tourney is the standard, I would say between sweet 16 and the second round, kinda halfway between. Been to the second round enough times that it isn't that big of a deal. I would say the big XII tourney title is what we expect.

I remember when some posters on here were saying ISU was a blue blood in basketball on par with MSU and Kansas. LOL

Not surprising for ISU fans really. Heck you got some saying right now the ISU basketball standard is the Sweet 16. At the same time they are hoping to sign enough transfers to become a bubble team so they don't miss the NCAA Tournament in 3 out of 4 years.

He also had 132 yards against WVU with 3 TD's, 110 against OU, and 101 against Texas.

Here is the difference, ISU fans say Prohm should be canned if we don't make the NCAA tourney next year and were not happy for missing this year. Iowa has an auto extension in their coaches contract for just making the tournament. Iowa having a winning record is the equivalent of ISU making the tourney. Where we both so, it wasn't a great year, but not a bad year.

Are you forgetting three years ago both Iowa State and Iowa sucked? Then two years both teams were pretty good. So you're entire argument of our program being bad and Iowa's being good is based off of one season? Do you not see how that's kind of illogical?

Also, Iowa last year would've had to rack up 3 more wins in the post season to even reach the amount of wins they had 2 years ago? So how special was last year in all reality outside of Garza being unbelievable?

'02 and '04 Iowa won Big10 titles.

ISU will be back in the Sweet 16 before the hoks make one. That is a fact.

Barta extends Fran after a 25+ loss @ Purdue, Pollard extends Prohm after winning the Big 12 tournament.

I am simply stating that having a NCAA quality team in 5 out of 7 years is decent by everyones standard but a blue blood. To say Iowa has 1 decent year in basketball in 10 years is beyond stupid with 5 NCAA quality teams in 7 years.

There stats were in no way comparable. Lol what are you talking about?

Yeah I agree with you on that.
