Iowa Football Recruiting

Slovis played over half of the game and Iowa never trailed for a second while he was playing.

That is how things were going.
Okay if you couldn't see that USC was gaining momentum and Slovis was starting to get a rhythm, then you're just as worse as Twins saying USC for sure would've won.

What if McCaffery had gotten injured before the Rose Bowl and if Iowa wore the correct cleats? 2016 Rose Bowl Champs! Print the shirts!
The cleat thing is hilarious lol but yes. You can dwell on the what ifs all you want but they're just a coping mechanism for the actual reality.

Mine are all facts though.

Saying Iowa never trailed with Slovis playing is fact.

Saying USC would have won if Slovis didnt get hurt is opinion.

You did the same thing as him when saying ISU wins 3 more games if Haliburton doesnt get hurt last season.

Mine are all facts though. They were gaining momentum after the onside recovery but who is to say Iowa wouldnt have taken it right back. Iowa controlled that game for the most part.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I said I thought Tyrese would've brought us 3 more wins and you decided to make me choose exactly what games I thought we'd win so you could disagree with my opinion. I never said I thought we'd 100% win 3 more games because who knows what would've happened. Some of the games could've been more respectable but we still might've lost.

And as I said before what happened, happened. Nothing we say or think changes the reality of it all. But the way you mentioned "USC never lead vs. Iowa even with Slovis" makes me believe you were blind by the fact that USC indeed was gaining steam.

That wasn't my point. We had holes in the team that have thus far gotten filled (pending Harris's eligibility). We're still continuing to add to those holes as well. We don't need the best players in college basketball to be a tournament team next year.

What holes do Harris and JCL fill? They are both worse versions of Bolton. All three of those guys are shoot first, second, and third type players, but they are all mediocre at best shooters.

It is good to know that Twins was defending Iowa's SOS back in 2015, after all Sagrain has been his go to on SOS for a decade.

If only that were true - instead, @CyTwins was using Team Rankings’ strength of schedule metric (the very same metric he mocked earlier today) to claim that Iowa’s strength of schedule sucked.

Rasir Bolton was HM all conference as a sophomore who averaged 14.7 points so you saying they're worse versions of him isn't exactly a huge slight. JCL also plays a much different style of basketball as Bolton and is more of a wing.
