I'm sure some ISU band members have been assaulted in Kinnick before.... but it's hard to come forward if you have nothing to prove it happened. It would just be a he said, she said thing.

But Barta takes that and runs with it nationally. It made the news, and scrolled across the bottom on ESPN all day. It tarnished ISU's image big time.... and Barta had absolutely NOTHING to go on.

Just like the locker room theft Barta went nationally with. Only to find out after gathering the facts that it was an Iowa fan that broke into Iowa's locker room.... and it was the same private security company that Barta hires to protect their locker rooms in Kinnick too.... it wasn't ISU's security in any way shape or form. Barta is an amateur, and has proven so. Look at the millions he's cost Iowa in discrimination lawsuits over the years.

You could have saved a whole lot of time just saying - ‘What happens in Ames stays in Ames.’

That saddest part of the situation is that he reimbursed people like Steve Marriuci (sp?) for the most part but there were others that didn't have a million dollar job and basically lost everything of their retirement. I would possibly cut him some slack if he had owned up, cooperated, and then tried to get the peoples money back. Then again, a person like that would not have ran a ponzi scheme to start with.

He did try to get people their money back. He paid nearly $3 million in restitution. Most of the money was invested in a company that went under in the dot com crash - you can’t pay back money that you don’t have.

Just answer the question buddy. If an ISU band member comes out tomorrow and says they were assaulted in Kinnick.... you would just believe them automatically right? Without doing any research or investigating at all, right?

And I'm sorry, just because someone has a few bruises does not mean some ISU fan assaulted them. That was a total mess that night. Extremely crowded. Anything could have happened. The Iowa band member could have been hit by a fellow band member's instrument in such a croweded area. Who knows?

But Barta just always assumed that ISU did something terrible.

Care to comment on clone fans threatening the KU team bus or didn’t that count either? While you are at it was the isu donor arrested for going after Bill Self or must we ignore that as well?

Shouldn’t all universities strive for the fan behavior from isu’s fan base?

Just follow the lead of Pollard and say - ‘What happens in Ames stays in Ames.’ It’s much easier.

Why would an isu band member come out this long after the incident if it occurred?

The Iowa band members reported the incident immediately. But I can see why isu fans would rather blame the victims. Just how clone fans roll isn’t it?

So you're moving on from the band "incident" now because you know you have nothing to stand on there anymore I see.

Is the KU thing just another he said, she said accusation too?

Some Iowa fan put a gun to my head outside of Kinnick at a game once too.... but I can't prove it. That actually didn't happen, but since I claim it did, it must have happened, right? I mean... I should just tell Pollard that happened, and he should go to ESPN with that. Can you imagine that scrolling across the bottom of the TV..... "ISU fan has gun pointed at his head at Kinnick Stadium".
