Do you think the fact that it was an Iowa fan that broke into the locker room somehow absolves Iowa State of responsibility for safeguarding it?

There's a reason why the Iowa Marching Band "incident" never went anywhere. JP called Barta's bluff and told him they would respond to any kind of evidence they had whatsoever on the case..... and Barta had nothing.
It's why ISU doesn't run to the national media and whine every time something happens to an ISU band member at Kinnick..... because if you have no proof that anything actually happened, then nobody knows if it really did.
ISU security said an Iowa band member was trying to get into ISU's locker room area too, but did JP run to the national media and complain that an Iowa band member tried breaking into ISU's locker room? No. Because he didn't really have enough evidence. That never stops Barta.
Can you seriously not read? It wasn't ISU's security. It was the exact same security company that Iowa uses for security at its home games. They aren't associated with ISU at all. And it was a tool Iowa fan that broke into their own team's locker room and stole from their own team. Now that is classy.
Boy some of these "new" members have ruined the decent Iowa posters.

ISU wouldn't be responsible. They hire a security company to protect the locker room.... the same company that Iowa hires at their games.
Here we go. Clone fans continue to defend their embarrassing behavior after losing again to Iowa. Just sack up and admit you have some really ‘bad’ fans like most fan bases. You also need to quit with the Pollard defense - ‘whatever happens in Ames stays in Ames.’
Was ISU found guilty of any wrongdoing in that case? I seriously have no idea?
All I know is that if I hire a private security company to protect something for me, it's their fault if they don't protect it... not mine.... am I right or no?

I actually completely agree with this. Lose in the 1st game they were probably a 7, do anything except win it probably a 6, win it a 5.

I've said time and time again that every team in the country has their bad fans.... it happens everywhere.
But Iowa and Barta are the only ones that seem to try to throw another school under the bus nationally when they have absolutely no evidence that anything at all happened. It's crazy. It's happened numerous times with Barta.
I wish JP would just stoop to Barta's level and go to the national media with every "incidence" that happens to ISU fans or band members at games in Kinnick.
Nah, no stooping necessary. From the video press conference with Dr. W, and the DPS chief, I think it was handled the best it could have been. The transparency was there.
I mean, maybe they like to be placed on ignore? I dunno.
Iowa's obviously got a good class signed but damn, it's made some of them insufferable.
