I don't think there's any chance JP fires Prohm after this season if the team shows improvement, even if they don't make the NCAA IMO.

One bad year after winning the Big 12 tourney and going to the NCAA Tourney isn't going to get you fired as long as you show some improvement and signs for optimism after this season.

Fred had way better success with transfers than Prohm did this year. I wouldn't be shocked if Nebraska was much better than ISU as early as this year.

What transfers did Fred get that you like?

You missed on about 25 of your other 1st choices. If you thing all is well more power to ya.

I'm assuming you know better, but transfers don't happen on a given date and that's it. There are actually several high level transfers that have announced in the last week or so. We're in on them, doesn't mean we'll land them, but the possibility is there.

BTW, what did Iowa pick up for this year? Transfers or freshman? I remember Fran saying those twins were a big get for him while interviewed but don't remember them or anybody else.

Apples and oranges. Fran had a complete and total rebuild that he walked into. He took over a program who hadn't gone to the NCAA tournament in the previous 4 years and took over for a coach who burned the program to the ground. It took him a bit, but he has put NCAA tournament quality teams on the floor 5 of the last 7 years.

Prohm took over for a program than had been to NCAA the last 4 years and a roster that was ranked pre season #7. He took that program and has turned it into a program that just hopes to not miss the last 3 of 4 NCAA tournaments.

There is no question Fran has done a better job with what he inherited than what Prohm has done.

Fran legit put together arguably the worst P5 recruiting class of all time. He brought in 5-6 guys and only one had a high major offer IIRC

Fran hasn't done squat at Iowa really.... and doesn't put anyone in the NBA either. Prohm will have 9 guys that played for him in the NBA this coming season.

He's dangerous because he can knock down shots, but yeah, that's about it.

He's complete trash defensively, and has no chance whatsoever of playing in the NBA.
