Iowa Football Recruiting

If true, it’s a nice addition for a DL that appears less than deep.

“big time get” would be a stretch.

A 6’4”, 320 pound DT who has racked up 16.5 TFL and 9 sacks over the last two seasons, and was honorable mention all-American last season? If that doesn’t warrant a “big time get,” what type of transfer would?

Hope miller is in a place to get back at it. Major talent. That's a lot to go through. He would be a good get.

You think Tyler Goodson is better than a first team All American. Don't pretend like you care about accolades now lol

Again, it’s a nice addition.

We’re also talking about the MAC here.

It feels a depth need at the least.

Agree it's a depth pickup, but with Iowa's interior DL, they're going to be rotating quite a bit IMO. Might not be a starter but I'd be surprised if he isn't getting quite a bit of work early in the year, series on, series off type thing. Would be a huge get for a thin DL.

they’ve had more CB’s and Safety’s not drafted in the last 20 years than they have had drafted. Boom roasted. So, IS IT really THE PLACE to go to get to the NFL if you’re a CB or Safety? No.

Every college football program has had more players not drafted than they have had drafted. Is this suppose to be some massive burn?

I am sure there are other schools that produce more NFL draft picks at CB and Safety . Go ahead and make a list if you want. You know who won’t be on there is isu.

So what is the sales pitch from isu to a CB or Safety recruit, come play at isu where if things go really really well you will be a part of a 8 win team?

That’s what I’m saying.

It feels a need for sure. A very solid pick up.

He may not even be the third best running back in the state....
I remember clone fans saying this the year Shonn Green won the Doak Walker award. The only difference was SG would have been the 5th best at isu.

Shouldn’t isu win a lot more games than they have if isu really has the level of talent clone fans think they have?

And hawk fans told me that Troy Davis would have been Shaws backup at Iowa when he was second for the Heisman.

You must be quoting someone I have on ignore because I'm not seeing anything but yes that's got to be the correct answer
Quote from The Bear "Not so sure Troy could have gotten into Iowa. Makes it a moot argument."

Correct. Again not my fault the NCAA had requirements that meant he couldn’t get into Iowa. When Davis got into isu it was as a prop 48 kid. Back then Iowa didn’t take prop 48 kids.

Not sure why this has you so salty.
