Iowa Football Recruiting

Why is isu sitting at #29 if they get the kids they really want?
It's already been explained. I would guess that we will finish very close to each other in the rankings. The only difference is we will get guys that fit our system. TOE only cares about getting the in state guys to say they "beat us". Congrats, but our class will turn out better. Book it.

I'm guessing that if Sullivan wanted to a Cyclone, he would be a Cyclone. Same thing if Bollers wanted to be a Hawk, he would be one.

ISU didn’t offer Sullivan because his ideal position is MLB in a 4-3 defense. He didn’t have the athletic profile we look for in our LBs. He isn’t tall enough to move to DE. So the reason they didn’t offer is that he wasn’t a fit.

Yes, if Campbell wanted him and he wanted to come to ISU, he'd be a Cyclone. That's generally how recruiting works.

that he wasn't good enough. That's laughable. If you want to say he's not a fit for your defense that's fine. But to say he's not good enough is just dumb.
He doesn't fit our defense, nor does he really fit any P5 defense.

He's clunky and he doesn't really have a position. I think he's 6' at best and his whole tape is him playing the edge.

Can he cover passes? who knows.

Him being a 4 star is laughable. He's a explosive, physical kid, but he doesn't really fit anywhere for a P5 team.

What do you consider very close to each other? 1 position different, 15, 20 or 30? There is already a large gap between Iowa and isu. Even if you get Bollers there aren’t enough of those remaining that can impact the gap between Iowa and isu. Just a fact.

He's not good enough to play DE or LB in our system. That's the truth

noted. 247 disagrees but I'll defer to you.

He's listed as an ATH by 247. That's not a negative for someone who's an offensive weapon (like a RB/WR) or someone who can play both ways (CB/WR),

When it's a Linebacker/Edge rusher type and the recruiting site can't find somewhere to place you, that's not a good sign.

A joke of a four stat was Sean Foster. Not only did Iowa pass on him but he played for isu and was a total turnstile. Hope he starts for you guys this year.

I am so glad isu continues to pass on players that Iowa will use to beat isu with. Will that make clone fans feel better about losing to Iowa?

He played in all 13 games. started 5 due to injuries to starters. Did not record a stat in the last 3 games. Was not projected as a starter for 2020. So he transferred.
Interesting. You seem very invested in this player.

I’ll stick with the fact that he’s a player that has started 11 ACC games and will be competing with younger players for reps. Win-win situation.
